48.The study of  history places too much emphasis in induviduals . The most significant events and trends in history were made possible not by the famous few ,but by groups of people whose identities have long been forgotten .

The issue who created the history and how should we study the history ,may have to wait a while .According to the review of history ,I find both the induvidual and group of people are equally important in the historic level and the research started with to study the past will base itself upon the famous few .

On the one hand ,group of people is a crucial part in order to provide  the individual a stage to grow and perform .For one thing ,all the famous historic person came from the mass and their capacity derive from the grand old man .Could Newton 's theory come into existence without other physical scientists ' experience and conclusion ;during the Renaissance ,could the boom of artists spurn the thought in the last century ;could George Washington  trigger the revolution without his followers ?No ,becouse the majority serves as a background or nursery for the growing of the outstanding minority .For the other thing ,the historical influence caused by the individual is reflected and preserved by the group of people .Not only does the discovery or invention urge the history progress by application abroad but the social impact should be grounded on the social menbers .The majority acts as the carrier or object of the historical sway caused by the few famous and reflect this effect to the historical extent .

One the other hand ,however ,the importance of the mass cannot overshadow the influence of the individual .Simple put ,without the excellent minority ,the common people's wisdom and will would dilute and hardly spark the significant event and trend .This historical effect is often rendered by the individuals who represent the mojority and draw from the crowd .With no leaders ,no distinguished scientist or artist ,the society will surffer from wateriness and delay of progress .Can we imagine without Franklin Benjamin ,how long after could human seize the electricity ;can we imagine without da vinci Leonardo ,how could the Renaissance thrive ;can we imagine without Abraham Lincoln ,what will the situation in America ?Outshanding individuals and only outstanding individuals could ignite the fuse and generate a significant transfrom .

Finally ,the mean to study history emphasized on the individual will not to be questioned at all .First ,the foregone nature of history determines the information avaiable which only covers few famous people .The inquiry of a event happened long long ago is impossible ,so the only way to study it is to resort to the detailed recordation which hardly contains the ordinary mass .The time will not flaw back ward and it is absurd to return hundreds of years ago to detect what 's the populace ' s situation because of the trivial and countless nature .Moreover ,when the focus turn ed on the glorious few ,when the investigation proceed with a detailed and representational access ,the study will be more practical .In addition ,yet the study of individuals cannot be isolated from the background  made up of the commonality because of the tight relationship between this two counterparts I have dissertated .It is not wise draw a caveman and put he or she in this modern circumstance for a study .

In sum ,in the historical river ,group of people act as the background which stand out the outstanding individuals ,while the outstanding individuals which come from this background  refine and delegate it .Thus ,the step to study history should pay enough emphasis on the individuals .
