52"Education encourages students to question and criticize, and therefore does little to promote social harmony."

Education is the main ways for our modern people to understand the unknown and gain knowledge, as well as how to learn them by oneself. Generally, educators, mostly in schools and universities, often teach people, especially students to view everything which never expose to them with a doubt, even to question or criticize boldly. However, is it beneficial that education encourages students to do so for promoting social harmony? I take a moderate point of view on it for the following reasons.
As we all know, each person was born with no idea about this beautiful but complicated world. Fortunately, we all have the curious nature and willing to explore everything surrounding with us. At first, parents are our beginning teachers, who tell us many basic skills and elementary introduction. And then, schools and universities are the common places for people to acquire more knowledge and receive more education. Best educationalists and best students are all gathering here teaching and learning the soul of human beings, such as the history, culture, business, and science. Consequently, large number of students after well teaching becomes the elites of our society--sociologists, entrepreneurs, politicians, scientists, who make great effort to impel human civilization and better people’s life condition, driving the development of the whole world farthest and greatest. Unquestionably, it’s the education that has such power to impel human’s development and progress of society.

It is not only dispersing knowledge to students for an educationalist’s responsibility, but also important to teach them how to learn new information. As a Chinese proverb saying, “Best way is to teach one how to fish, rather than give fish”. An efficient way, often adopted by teachers, is that masters suggest the students analyze new problems by questioning them step by step to reach thoroughly answers. Furthermore, even if the classic theory and authorities transmitting by professors are deserved to inquire more, or even rebut. Therefore, knowing how to question or criticize something is a crucial ability that people especially students should have mastered. For example, if Isaac Newton did not ask the question “why apples drop down to earth, rather than up to sky?”, we couldn’t know the law of gravity discovered by him; If Nicolaus Copernicus didn’t disbelieve and challenge the geocentric system of the universe, our astronomy would be progressed more promptly. Obviously, only through proposing new questions can we really focus our concentration on what the problems exactly are and comprehend them better by answering these questions. When we face new issues, we will question them and study them; finally we adopt them or criticize them. Inevitably, education has well taught us to question and criticize others in most situations, such as when we were learning how to learn.

However, mere education is not the last aim. Undeniably, we should utilize the skills and knowledge through education to serve for people, so as to our society. Not only knowledge in many special fields such as electrics and medicine are useful for human, but also many skills are helpful and important in people’s daily life, such as how to communicate with others, even how to self-construct one’s personality, value system, and world views, etc. Generally, most of these skills and knowledge, gained through education, are very beneficial to human society as well as society harmony. However, some people believe that the ability of question and criticism will bring nothing even bad effect to society harmony. It occurs to me that a case-by-case standpoint is more reasonable. Mostly, from one person’s progress to coalition of different culture or corporations, it’s possible that many kinds of questions or criticism flood in these processes, but it’s normal and profitable. However, it’s also likely that too much criticism will make one be a cynic and individuals disbelieve reciprocally. When it happens, more understanding and comprehension, which can also be acquired from education, are needed and deserve more care. Moreover, people should make question and criticism concerning problems, rather than people, and make efforts to settle the problems, rather than let them alone. Thought these methods, we could decrease the side-effect resulting from questions and criticism and bring more harmony to our society.

To sum up, it’s education that drives our world to be more prosperous, developed and civilized, worthy of each government to highly care about and invest in. Although education encourage students and people to question and criticize, and thus may bring nothing or even bad effect to our society, we could reduce these if properly deal with.

As we all know, each person was born with no idea about this beautiful but complicated world. Fortunately, we all have the curious nature and [are] willing to explore everything surrounding with us. Unquestionably, it’s the education that has such power to impel human’s development and progress of society.

It is not only dispersing knowledge to students for an educationalist’s responsibility是不是去掉那个for ? , but also important to teach them how to learn new information. As a Chinese proverb saying你这里的saying是名词么? , “Best way is to teach one how to fish, rather than give fish”. An efficient way, often adopted by teachers, is that masters suggest the students analyze new problems by questioning them step by step to reach改为obtain吧? Furthermore, even if the classic theory and authorities transmitting by professors are deserved to inquire more, or even rebut. 嗯,牛顿的例子提到你上面那句话后面(获得详尽的答案) Therefore, knowing how to question or criticize something is a crucial ability that people especially students should have mastered.

However, mere education is not the last aim这句话什么意思? Undeniably, we should utilize the skills and knowledge through education to serve for people, so as to our society. Not only knowledge in many special fields such as electrics and medicine are useful for human, but also many skills are helpful and important in people’s daily life, such as how to communicate with others, even how to self-construct one’s personality, value system, and world views, etc. Generally, most of these skills and knowledge, gained through education, are very beneficial to human society as well as society harmony. 直接用不定式与前面对应就可以阿,刚刚看到了希望,又来一个however However, some people believe that the ability of question and criticism will bring nothing even bad effect to society harmony. It occurs to me that a case-by-case standpoint is more reasonable. Mostly, from one person’s progress to coalition of different culture or corporations, it’s possible that many kinds of questions or criticism flood in these processes, but it’s normal and profitable. However, it’s also likely that too much criticism will make one be a cynic and individuals disbelieve reciprocally.恩???这两句话有联系么?(however&When) When it happens, more understanding and comprehension, which can also be acquired from education, are needed and deserve more care. make question and criticism concerning problems, rather than people, and make efforts to settle the problems, rather than let them alone.
