Determining whether an effective political leader should or should not tell the truth all the time could be weighed in many aspects. Different people have different answers due to their respective point of view. On balance, as far as I am concerned, it is impossible for an effective political leader to tell the truth forever. Though honesty is virtue for a normal person, not for a political leader. (语法错误)
To begin with, the reason why I support this point of view is that politic is abstruse, which requires political leaders to do what they have to do, but not what they should do, because they decide the fortune of a country and the nation, while represent the ability of the country. In all ages, any country wants to be independent and powerful,(少东西) the political leader needs to show many benefit evidence to the others. However, they cannot be honest at any time. In this occasion(好像没有这个用法), complete honesty is not a useful virtue and on the contrary, deceitfulness becomes a demarche. For example, Russian disposed of Alaska to America in 1876. Russian claimed that is because Alaska was laggard and mostly was unemployed. However, is it the truth? American discovered gold and petroleum there, which was admired by the whole world. Actually, the sale of Alaska was only as a matter of expediency for an imperial Russian that was short of cash and unable to defend its own continental coastline. Why didn’t the political leaders tell the truth, it is just because what they said was relative to the dignity of the country.
单纯分析例子 在例子引述的开始阶段 没强调说谎是为了维护一个国家的尊严 看起来有点不知所云
In addition, the other reason is that political leaders are the spirit of the country. Society wants to be steady, the core of the country should be excellent. In this case, at special time, political leaders have to make the real things covered by untruth assumptions(可以去掉assumptions). For instance, throughout financial crisis, the political leaders needed to cite the economists’ analysis, which may be changed much, to make a statement persistently, which showed it would be past quickly to calm the investor, although maybe the destructiveness of it was impossible to assess. It is likely that because of the pledge of the government, many investors would continue their operations as before. Why didn’t the political leaders tell the truth? Just be desirous to keep the society constantly(keep 做保持+adj). In summary, appropriate dishonesty for political leaders is necessary(to some extent).
(末句和上一段重复太多,为了稳定社会 没看出来递进关系,和第一段是并列的)
Admittedly, complete honesty is not useful for a politician. However, exceeding dishonesty will also be bad for the country and the nation. The support of residents is as a result of their trust to the government. If the political leaders often tell a lie, while the purpose of what they do is not reasonable enough, it is possible to cause rebelling, and then the country will be in trouble. So the political leaders should have the degree(不通顺) about whether they should be dishonesty.
这段在结构上作用不小 我认为应该在第二句附近加上the leaders won their reputation more on personality ( honesty, reliable, etc) than on capability 作为过渡
In summary, which the author assumes is reasonable. Political leaders as the crucial component of the country, they should have some differences. Complete honesty is not useful for them and at the same time, they are also cannot tell the truth all the time. However, it is important for them to be strict with themselves, to avoid egoism.
总结: 全文大负小正 基本结构对的哦~ 但是有些衔接有问题 (没注意挑语言上的问题)
