The author asserts that education will be truly effective only when it is specifically designed to meet the individual needs and interests of each student. I concede that satisfy the individual may be an important part in the education. However, in my opinion, the effect of education is determined by many other factors.

In the first, an effective education should be based on cooperation and competition. The educator should provide an equal and fair environment for the students who can cooperate and compete with each other. In the crucial contemporary world, the conception of cooperation and collaboration become more and more important. Each individual and whole society face various issues and challenges nowadays. Through the cooperation we can utilize the most resources, maximize the efficiency and reduce the cost. For example, one of the most famous invention of Thomas Edison is incandescent lamp which is invented in his laboratory under many excellent  assistances’ helps. There is so many researches are operated under the cooperation between different people, different institutions and even different nations. Meanwhile, the universities and collages should also maintain the policy which is regulated to improve the competence of each students. The schools introduce so many experiments and examinations in order to raise their students' capabilities which will play a vital role in work such as independent research and self-studying even though most of the students are afraid of taking tests and examinations. Therefore, emphasis the spirit of cooperation and competition make education more effective.

In the second, raising the characteristics and interests of each students is another important subject in the education. The universities provide various majors and different curriculum. Each student has distinct kind of personality and advantage. The students who are good at logic thinking and analysis may likely to choose natural science or engineering as their major. The students who have special talents on art may choose to study painting, music or literacy. Meanwhile all series of curriculums provided in the universities give the students an opportunity to touch the some areas out of their majors. For example, the students in the department of mathematics or chemistry can take course such as classic music or economics. Given enough emphasis on individual's needs and interest can encourage and promote the enthusiasm of their study while they are frustrated by the difficulties.

In the third, an education which is specifically designed to meet every individual needs and interests may have some negative effects. To meet every individual needs and interest of each student will inevitably cost a large amount of money and jobs. The number of faculties, classrooms, instruments and apparatus is limited and cannot satisfy every student's own need simultaneously. Further more, to meet every student's needs and interests cannot provide them an available circumstance to cooperate and compete with each other.

To sum up, education should take enough effort on cultivating its students capabilities such as collaboration and competition. Meanwhile, the educator cannot omit the individual characteristics, needs and interests of each student. The claims that to meet the each students needs is the only reason for an effective education is, to some extent, over-simplified and ungrounded.

3、Admittedly, to meet every individual 的要求会带来一些negative affects. 举例：可能会花费巨大。 同时不利于cooperation and communication which 这种品质是在当今crucial world中非常重要的。同时，许多人在同一领域内的competition是有益的。
