------正文------
With the occurrence of television and worldwide computer connections, famous interests and places that attract thousands of people to visit, could be fully viewed easily and more conveniently. Consequently, some asserted that tourism would lost its popularity in the near future. As far as I am concerned, I strongly disagree the statement above.
To begin with, the spirits of traveling is more than seeing unforgettable sights, which could not obtained from pictures or imagines provided by electronic screen. This is the essential point for my propensity. True indeed, with the help of advanced technology many beautiful sights are vivid on television or computers, some of them are even more significant than one can see by himself. However, tourism could never be as simple as just seeing the scene. In my point of view, it involves the fulfillment of conquest, the process of overcoming difficulties, and the spirit of never give up. Take the great wall for example. Chairman Mao, the great politician, artist, poet, and first president in P. R. China ( People's Republic of China) once remarked and I paraphrased: "A man could hardly be a real man unless he comes to the Great Wall." However marvelous it is, untill you come there by yourself not will you feel its attraction. Because before you climb to the most significant place of the Great Wall, exhaustion, thirst, hunger and a great number of obstacles would appear in front of you. It is rarely a single task to see the place whereas the satisfaction of accomplishment weighing more in the purpose of visiting. This is the reason why tourism would not be replaced by the connected computers and other media.
Another subtle factor is many tour sites fascinated to travelers largely because of the local culture rather than sights. In some parts of the world, great places are something like the ancient temples, the mysterious pyramids, and the antic palaces that sometimes involve most of the traditional cultures in that place. In some degree, they seldom own much art but culture values.(这几个简单例子支持我的这个论点合适么?) As a result, pictures and films, no matter how attractive they are, could barely present what people longing for. For example, people rushed for Xizhang, a undeveloped district in China in the recent years to experience the atmosphere of FO JIAO within a severe environment in deserts. Hardly may you find anything interesting or beautiful only from the electronic screens. It is the invisible culture, rather than natural sights, bring the mystery to that ground.
Admittedly, developed technologies contribute a lot in the field of tourism. They helped to cut down the high costs for traveling especially for those who are not afford to make a journey, and provide nicer views from certain altitudes where ordinary people could not easily get to. By the assistance of those helpful tools, people nowadays can travel around world without a further step outside the house.
Considering all the points made above, the joy of travel could never be degenerated and replaced by other forms of traveling, however advanced technologies in making vivid pictures are.
