Is the education truly effective only when it is specifically designed to meet the individual needs and interests of each student, as the speaker asserts? In my point of view, it is true that education meeting the students' interests will be effective. However, the claim is so absolute that I could not entirely agree with speaker in several reasons as following.

Admittedly, education which is designed to satisfy the personal needs and interests of each student will acquire better outcome in study. If the courses set up in schools attract the students, they will easily be absorbed in them and try their best to study the subject intensely. For example, a student interested in drawing will have more enthusiasm in the curriculum regarding the famous painting works of several notorious artists in history or at present. And a student who enjoys in the beautiful buildings all over the world and is eager to known how they are designed and built will concentrate in the course about the history of architecture and the principle of it.

However, to meet the individual needs and interests of each student is far from the only way to promote education effects. As is well known that the interest is entirely possible to cultivate. When the students were very young, the things they contact were limited. And what they really interest or need is not quite clear. In this case, schools should carry out a variety of courses and interesting programs to attract the students’ attention and train their interests toward fields which they know little, if any, in the past. By this way, the students could focus on the courses they enjoy and their talents will be discovered in these fields as well. Consequently, the reasonable and attractive curricula will also be a good way to improve the educating effectiveness.

Further, it is impossible to cater every student's needs and interests because of the huge number of them in schools all over the country. On the one hand, there are thousands of hundreds of students in the country, school education is lack of sufficient resources, such as teachers, equipments, rooms, and money to satisfy each of their students' needs and interests. On the other hand, at the country's level, there are certain needs in society toward intellectuals at certain times. Take the scientist for an example, genetics experts are more required today than in the past because of the development of biology techniques popular in disease treatment and other fields. As a result, the education department of the country has to carry out educating plan according to the social demands.  

To sum up, it is important for effective education to meet the individual needs and interests of each student, but this is not the only way. What is more, some other factors should be taken into account according to the needs of the whole country.

To sum up, it is important for effective education to meet the individual needs and interests of each student, but this is not the only way. What is more, some other factors should be taken into account according to the needs of the whole country.
