"The study of history places too much emphasis on individuals. The most significant events and trends in history were made possible not by the famous few, but by groups of people whose identities have long been forgotten."
很久米写了,真觉得痛苦恩. 请多拍~~~留下连接互拍~~^_^
提纲:
1 英雄人物的作用不能忽视, 且较于人民大众更好认知。
例子: Gandhi Martin luther king Washington
2 没有人民大众的支持,英雄也起不了作用, 目前的历史学习的确应该重视更多。
正文
There is always some names that people admire or be familiar with, human history is one that is consist of a myriad of names of individuals and events. However, the arguer believes that the study of history places too much emphasis on individuals, and significant events and trends are made possible by the majority people rather than the few heroes. While I agree with the former half. I can not conform to the latter statement for its generalization.
Admittedly the power of individual is limited, and the contribution of heroes is based on numerous factors and conditions. Nevertheless, the great efforts those individuals made and the incomparable contribution they proffered render them respectable position in history. If we go back to a starting point to explore as where do heroes come from and why do they come about? It should be found that heroes are the product of the need of the time and people. Heroes do not come to being as they wish of by the wish of a few others, they come under the summon of the majority of people who by themselves——may become a group of mobs without a systematic organization and leading——can not accomplish the tremendous task. Take the example of George Washington, the father of the USA, who with devout loyalty to its country and great talents leaded the continent army along with the American people to victory and freedom. Besides Washington other famous figures also gained respect and praise and if not for them there perhaps will be no declare of independence, American possibly still under the rule of UK after a series of unsuccessful commotions. Uncountable examples as Gandhi, Martin Luther King, we need look no further to conclude that the effort of individual heroes is an indispensable part of significant changes in history.
It is easy and likely for historians and scholars to acknowledge the contribution of individual heroes, however, we have to admit that the mass majority behind those brilliant figures, who actually in many cases took the most dangerous tasks were buried in oblivion. Objectively, it is indeed difficult to name out all those involved in a certain event, let out the lack of record and documents today for the events of the long gone past, compared to prominent individuals. Thus, when regarding to the study of history today, I understand its more emphasis on individual heroes on the condition that it is constricted by objective limits. Otherwise, it can not be forgived to deliberately ignore the mass majority or to take any excuses. We should realize that fundamentally it is the mass majority pushing the wheel of human civilization to advance, and heroes however great, are born from, picked out, backed up by the mass people.
In conclusion, individuals are indispensable in events of significance, yet they can only become heroes on the shoulder of the mass majority. Heroes are like the edge of a sword, connected and supported by its body——the mass majority of people, only the combination of the two can offer the sword its sharpness.
