Issue153 Students should bring a certain skepticism to whatever they study. They should question what they are taught instead of accepting it passively.
TOPIC
Opinion:
Learning not simply as memorizing some knowledge, is a way of life, an objective attitude toward the world and an ability of judge something unknown.
1 learning should based on the grasping of knowledge
2 learning should carry on with questioning.
3 to learn without question is fixable and uncreative, to learn with only questioning is fruitless and puzzling.
4 all in all, be objective and not reject everything before you totally understood what is that on earth. Questioning should be raised with proper thinking. Blindly questioning should be negated.


In modern educational theory, people believe that the effective learning should be with constantly questioning. With proper skeptic, one can keep active in one's study. One even suggests that the students should hold a skeptic attitude to whatever they learn and question whatever they are taught. As for me, I do promote the active questioning instead of passive accepting. Further more; I do believe question earns more meaning as kind of scientific training rather than as the phenomena of doubt everything blindly. We should be objective in accepting the world, which means; even the absolute skepticism should be avoided. And my reasons are as follows:
  
Learning has different characters in different stages. At very beginning, most of the knowledge is based on some bases that are believed as "un-questionable rule". As we knew in plane geometry,the theory is founded on two axioms,which are named by Aristotle and used as self-evidence till today. And for some common sense, though might be still unsolved, popular used daily as "one and one is two", is not so necessary to encourage every first learner to think "why". Learning especially at the first stage, should based on the accumulation of some certain knowledge. Without memorize and grasping some basic elements of a problem, it is hard to imaging that absolute skepticism can contain any actively thinking. To learn with only questioning is fruitless and puzzling.

With some background knowledge, the carefully question should be encouraged as an effective learning method. Not only help learners focus on study, question itself stimulate the learners try to think about the solution. Both the questioner and been questioned person are involved in the attempt for every possibility which might lead to the correct answer. Those trying helps person dig in every potential disadvantages and help to complete a mature theory. What is more, in question, people learn to see with one's own eyes, to judge with one's own mind and to stand with one's own feet. For a student the process of which learning the information about one problem and then drawing their judgments through careful study is much more important than the final conclusion. And people should give more consideration on what the students learn through the process of judging rather than enthusiastic about giving commons on the final results.

Some quitter might fear that too much question would break the authority of tutors. In fact, it is only in the numerous tests that formed the real authority. So dose the contribution of a theory. If there are the disadvantages inside, the carefully question and thoughtfully discussion is not a signature of reject. Furthermore, for most of the students, their question and critics, in most of the cases, does not present their dissatisfaction of the truth but they concerning the progress of the improvements and willing to become one of the persons that contributes the development of it. Without question and pulling down the former, one theory is hard to suite the changing elements, which is very common in our fast extending world. Without question and creative thinking, it is easy to be fixable and malapropos.

In sum, modern education should strive to help students thinking objective and not reject everything before totally understood the meaning. Questioning should be raised with proper thinking. Blindly questioning should be negated. all the issues and obtain their judgment through their own efforts, and people should also giving more attention on the students scientific active training process.
