3、然而，光是继承传统，没有创新，实现现代化，同样不可取。科技是为了创新，创新的前提是继承。科技进步归根结底要为人类服务，为实现现代化服务。从这个角度来看，传统和现代是相容的，相辅相成的。


Are tradition and modernization incompatible? As the author says, one must choose between them. However, in my point of view, both positive and negative effects among persons in modern society call for a balance in which there are both tradition and modernization.

To begin with, tradition is necessary in order to enable human beings knowledge to make progress. With knowledge created by our ancestors, we will reduce a great deal of repeat work and even avoid to leading to the wrong route again. Take myself for example, my graduate experiment can readjust the plan of experiment in time when it comes across obstacles, and complete at length just through looking back upon a mass of references. As the greater physicist Newton said, “I can see further than others just because I stand on the giant’s shoulders.” It is obvious that human beings can make progress relying on the accumulating of ancestor’s knowledge. In other words, it is hard to imagine that we could solve these difficulties such mathematics field under unknowing how to calculate one add one, let it alone mathematics guess. Consequently, tradition plays a vital part in the development of human beings knowledge.            

Simply put, without tradition, our society can not advance whether in nature science or humanity science. On the one hand, take astronomy-geography that is a new discipline in recent years for example, its advancement has to depend on astronomy and geography each development. If either of them develops slowly, it is impossible for prosperous day to come true. Another illustrating instance, splendid Internet academic is also founded on the rapid developing of computer science. On the other hand, in humanity science, especially for literature, it played a considerable part through words to encourage people to combat with evil society for freedom and democracy in that era. In a word, without tradition, human society can’t maintain an unceasing evolution.

There is no denying of overemphasizing the importance of tradition should prevent people from innovating. Without innovation, science technology will lose its essential significance, let it alone to come true modernization. It is without denying that science technology is served for human being life and accomplishing modernization. Therefore, in such sense, tradition and modernization is compatible. Tradition is the premise, while modernization is the purpose.

To sum up, without tradition, society could not advance and human being has little effective implement for solving problems. Without modernization, we will become confused since we have no specific goal. Thus, while the form of society necessitates tradition, modernization is equally important. Tradition makes us learn the past while modernization leads us to the future.

我觉得你的这个论述没突出传统和现代的对比，反而更适合讲experience的文章．

其实这段和上段的论述出发点都是相同的，完全可以归再一段啊

提纲总的感觉是比较片面，传统和现代没突出对比。３点比较好．其实你可以把文章从抽象转换到具体来写。个人意见，仅供参考而且传统其实更偏向于说保守，而现代化偏向于说创新和打破传统，二者更想对比关系而不是深入的关系，你的１２点更想深入关系。所以更适合experience  的论证。
