Does imaginative works like novels or plays better express accurate and meaningful human experience than factual does and have more lasting significance? I concede that those works plays a more important under certain circumstance than factual does, however, they are not always better.

Admittedly, works like novels, plays and films, especially novels, plays a significant role in representing the present sociey.It is decided by the form of those works. Understandably, every one tends to accept a conversation which expresses one's dissatisfaction to a certain society than a long paragraph of boring statement. The human experience is formed from us, the novels and films are doing works like represent certain situations where the experiences come from. Based on it, the works can express more accurate and meaningful picture is no longer surprising.

Consider, for example, Balzac's human comedy has well expressed the problematic French society at the 18th century. The novel revealed those problems by Old Grande’s greedy, by Uncle Julian’s sadness life in a boat and so for. These vivid characters were based on the real society in France, but the novel enable us experience the society again by conversations, by perfect description which factual which only contains statistic, boring statement can't achieve.

Yet, we also accept the idea that art is based on life, but beyond life. No one can deny that in plays, films there exist a certain part-big or small- which is undoubtful literally. Especially the plays and films in recent years. Is Spiderman representing more accurately the real situation in our present society than the record in police department does? This kind of situation reveals the inside hope of modern people of being a hero and the human wish to become perfect, but the film is not the reality.

But we cannot deny that not all kinds of such works are more accurate than factual. For example, we cannot assert that the Greek legend is shape and focus reality. These kinds of works express the human’s pursues: intelligence, power, bravery and also express what the human dislike: greedy, fear. There imaginative work is a good work to enable human to understand ourselves, to know the nature of human, they are meaningful. But the reason why they have a more lasting significance is not they are more realistic than literally, it's the form of art, which give human the sense of beauty that make them ever lasting. We cannot explain the history based on certain legends because they are pure imaginary effort that human want to better understand ourselves, there are no accuracy in such works, because they have different function with factual.

In sum, the exact function that all kinds of imaginative works have is different from each other. There have certain kinds of novels and plays which vividly and accurately express the exact situation in a certain period than factual does. But as for legends, fairy tales, the conclusion might be unfairly. After all, imaginative works are based on the author's imagination, even if the author's aim is to reflect the reality.

恩,主题句是我想写完再改的,结果忘记了
第一部分说神话传说反映了人们对于自然的认识和对自身的认识.第一个例子是说不同的民族,希腊和中国,对神的描述不同,反映了认识上的不同
第二个例子,是说中国神话中,道教的神和佛教的神同时出现,反映了文化融合.
那两个其实是一段,不是分开的，贴上去的时候不知道出了什么问题

另外,关于宗教的神话作品,我认为是最富于想象力的了,宗教本身就是绝大部分的精神创造,想象力占好大比重,而且我说的不是宗教的融合,而是神话中人们把两个宗教的神放一起,体现出本土化的文化特征.
