As far as I am concerned, the influence brought by a large factory near our community does join hands with our benefits in one arena. Although many neighbors will say no with regard of the pollution and security, I think the advantages weigh heavier than the opposite. Not only because the factory will offer many jobs, but also because it will provide lots of convenience to us.

First, now in our society, an increasing number of people lost their jobs. Even in our community, more than two percent of people became unemployed in last three years. This statistics shock everyone, but how can we try to solve this over-growing problem? Now, the solution—a large factory—turns up ahead of us. Many unemployed people will no longer worry about their jobs, because they can go to this factory to earn their own livings. The factory will become a job creator in our community.

Since I always feel how inconvenience it is if I want to buy some commodities or enjoy some local entertainments near our community, I will of course embrace this large factory. As it can boost the development of other commercial businesses in our community, such as groceries, drugstores, gymnasiums, cinemas, some amenities and so on. This not only offers convenience, but also makes our surrounding like a micromart. Imagine a large factory can even change our neighborhood into a prosperous one.

Finally, the factory will also be a taxpayer to our society. The government can use this money to build new constructions, help poor people, reform local facilities and the most critical, to protect the environment that may be polluted by the factory.

So to speak, the good points of building a factory, including dealing with the unemployed problem, providing lots of convenience and contributing to the social economy are far beyond the bad ones.

What is the difference between kids and adults, or in other words, what is a symbol of growing up? As for me, when people graduate form senior high school, they are as mature as grown-ups for their ages, knowledge level and the ability of independence.

As is so often pointed out, age, to some extent, affects the range of person’s capabilities. When people’s high school life comes to an end, they are eighteen or nineteen years old. This number indicate they have the basic power to tell the truth and the wrong, to know what they should do and what the shouldn’t, to decide which choice would be better for them and to plan for the future on their own. Although their thoughts are not always right on the track, they have the fundamental elements to become people of mature years.

Next, after educated for lots of years, giving consideration to their knowledge level, they can earn their own livings. For example, people, by using knowledge of computer they learned, can be cashiers or secretaries using their abilities of writing. So to speak, they can run their lives without relying on others and this means they have attained manhood.

Finally, the power of taking care of themselves shows another form of independence. As an instance, they can wash clothes, make meals and so on which not only make them lead their lives well, but also enable them to look after others which, known to all, plays a significance role in adults life.

To sum up, in my opinion, after people graduate from senior high school, they undergo a change into grown-ups and their mature symbol is their age, their capability to be their own master and the independence on economy and their lives.

With the coming of movies and television, our life patterns have changed a lot. For example, they made people become more positive, lazier and more violent and so on.

First, as movies and television can easily show the whole real world to the viewer, people become more positive. For instance, people used to get information and knowledge of outside world only through some published matters, such as newspapers, magazines or books. But, as it is so often pointed out, these things are written by people who get useful things though the same way. According to this, people can not tell whether information or knowledge they get is true or not. However, now, with the invention of movies or television, people can see the Everest Mountain just as they are at the foot of the highest mountain; they can see the Statue of Liberty just as they are in New York; they can watch the World Cup just as they are in the stadium. Based on these real pictures and voices, people will know the completely true things that they have inclination to know, and this make them more positive.

Next, people used to talk with friends on telephone or visit some museums and exhibitions to get rid of loneliness. However, after every home has a television, they can watch televisions for fun. That means most of them will stay at home with their favorite talk shows, soaps, TV serials or broadcast live sports match instead of going outside to enjoy their social lives. They become lazier and some of them are called “couch potatoes”.

Finally, the television programs are full of violence nowadays. Many people never choose the waste or the essence when they are in front of the television. This will bring lots of social problems, crime for example.

To sum up, television and movies, playing a significant part in people’s lives, have great impacts on them and make them more positive, lazier, more violent and so on.
