Topic: If you were asked to send one thing representing your country to an international exhibition, what would you choose? Why? Use specific reasons and details to explain your choice.

It is my honor to be invited to send one thing representing my country to an international exhibition, and it is a valuable opportunity to introduce my homeland to world’s people. However, choosing the representative is not a simple task, since my country China has an area of about 9,000,000 square kilometers, and a history more than 5,000 years. Ultimately, I decide to send our various alcohol drinks to the exhibition, for they demonstrate both the broad area and the long history.

First of all, alcohol drinks in China vary from one region to another, indicating different natural conditions and living styles. In the northwest, where is dry and cold, people take intense drinks in order to keep warm, while in the southeast, with a pleasant climate, people prefer soft ones. In the northeast, people love drinks producing strong feelings, whereas in the southwest, people would like to create drinks cooperating with dishes. Many ceremonies never occur without alcohol drinks, and sometimes certain drinks even serve as a symbol of a nation. Therefore, alcohol drinks provide visitors with a brief view of different parts of China.

Besides, alcohol drinks in China associate with almost every aspect of its historical cultures. Names of some cities, towns, and villages are originated from typical drinks. Events appeared in chronicles are relevant to famous drinks. Artistic works describe drinking activities. Moreover, the container of alcohol drinks are all made of traditional pottery and china, which are not only wonderful aesthetical works, but important signs of knowledge and technique development as well. Perhaps only a few people know that each formal container is highly qualified, and is able to make its content definitely aromatic and tasty. Such functions have been documented in chronicles, fictions, poems, paintings, songs, and dramas. As a result, alcohol drinks enable visitors to understand Chinese history evolvement.

As far as I have discussed, displaying Chinese alcohol drinks is a perfect choice, as the broadness of land, the variety of customs, the development of cultures are all included. I am sure the exhibition of alcohol drinks will be attractive and successful.

还可以作动词用，是纪录的意思

烈酒好像用hard drinks 更好点
