TOPIC: ISSUE17 - "There are two types of laws: just and unjust. Every individual in a society has a responsibility to obey just laws and, even more importantly, to disobey and resist unjust laws."

As the author assure, whether one should obey laws completely depends on the just of such laws. However, I can hardly agree such view, not only due to its unidentical definition of law justics, but also because of the great disaster brought by disobey and resistance of laws, even the "unjust" one.

Until now, there is no identical standard or criterion on the two key words of the arguement above-- just or unjust, which are totally different among various ages or periods. People leaded by George Washington, for example, were struggling for their freedom against the England colonists. What fulfilled their mind is nothing but the strong willing for fight, the permenant confidence  for victory and anything right that is beneficial for the final independence goal. It is not diffcult to image that any treasure that could help win the final war is undoubltedly judged right, including the rudest one-- the war. However, during current peaceful era, neither the war or the murder would be judged unapporegizable steps that required the strongest penality.

Furthermore, despite the effect of periods, the criterion on just or unjust laws depends largely on the individual value systems, including vastly different education backgrounds, political perspectives, etheic views and the like. In the politics' mind, especially those focusing on the increasing crimenal rate, even the most strict penality measure-- death-- is believed necessary and just. However, others trust that the best way to prevent violence and crime is education rather than strict penality. In their view, perhaps even a murder should only be limited his/her active range instead of the death penality.

In another hand, whatever the law is, including just one and unjust one, people  should obey it first without any hesitation. The law, as it is defined, a rule of conduct or action predescribed or formally recognized as binding or enforced by a controlling authority. Absolutely, the law is activated as a rule and even a base that make the whole society operates like a organism, without no more accident, earthquake or disaster. Without such fundamental criterion, the great terrible demage like World War Two would be right on the conern.

To sum up, not only the reality of laws but also the essential role that laws play drive our human beings obey laws, no matter just or unjust one. In such way, our society will on its developing track to the more bright tomorrow.
