Many of the greatest celebrities in history are those who showed preeminent talents in their fields when they were children. It is true that the gifted children are apt to be dormant in the mass without being identified at an early age, however, excessive attentions and trainings would exert negative impacts on them , which is more harmful than benificial.

Children with great talent should be recognized early, otherwise they would be bogged down into the sea. Without exposure to the musical instruments, Mozart would not show his great talent in mucic , who played the piano at three and began to composed only at four; without introduced to the great musical works, Beethoven would never show his musical gift, who began to open concert at eight; without exposure to paintings, Da Vinci would be less possible to be called “genius painter” by his neighbors under ten years old” Genius will not know how gifted he is when he is young without being showed into the field in which they indeed have special ability. If we pay no attention to the children or even believe the special ability is simply coincidence, we will lose the genius. Therefore, it is necessary for the society to identify the genius early.

To the contrary, overcharged trainings at an early age would bring about harmful problems to the healthy growth of the gifted children. Distinguished from the ordinary children, talented children are attentive by the whole society. They lose not only the opportunity to play and communicate with their peers but also the childhood a child should possess. Then they feel lonely , isolated and be brought up in the pressure from the family as well as society. They are deprived of playing games, taking part in the school football teams and other activities. All of this drawbacks would turn out to be mental problems such as pschological oppresion, lack of autonomous and interpersonal ability . As Goethe once told us: " Genuis is formed in quiet, character in the stream of life." From this view, we should provide quiet enviroment for the talented children.


Moreover, elitist education causes equally harmful influence on the average children. Consider, the ordinary children are apart from the favored children, then they will take it for granted that they are dull and they will never work better than those genius children. Nothing is important than confident for those children, however, they lose confidence means they might lose the opportunity to success in the future. Thomas Edison, the famous American inventor,once said that: "Genius is one percent inspiration and ninety--nine percent perspiration." Many of us ordinary persons grow up with encouraged by the motto and never lose diligence. We believe our hard work and perspiration would make for the talents limitation.

To sum up, children with talents should be paid more attention and encourged to develop in order to avoid being dormant, whereas it does not equate to dispart them from the others and be stuffed overcharged trainings. Our society shoud be resoponsible for all chidren whether they are prodigies or ordinary.
