Outline:
I agree with the speaker’s board assertion that a nation-wide curriculum program will help students gain a better education before they enter college. However, the speaker unfairly overlooks the importance of domestic courses. My points of view involve that the curriculum designed by different parts of nation is also important, though not as critical as national curriculum.
I concede that a uniform universal course is significant to students before they enter college, especially in preparing for the university education(这是不是有点重了,前面不是已经讲了before colledge了么?). A supporting fact is that after(before?) students entering college, they must take the same course though they came from different parts of nation. A nation-wide curriculum will ensure that all the students have necessary basic knowledge to take(understand?) the course easily in university, such as Mathematic and Physics, which is the basic knowledge of almost all majors among(with regard to?) Science and Engineering, and the ability of read and write is also demanded in different levels. Another reason for the national curriculum is the demand of the performance evaluation before young people entering college, to determine who could entry college to get advanced education, (这边感觉两个分句有点脱节,要不就写成独立的句子)a uniform test must taken in national range, and in this case universal courses is necessary to keep the evaluation process fairly.
Secondly, without a national curriculum, a local determined education program may have some flaws that omit crucial ability training. An illustration in this point is some course such as arts and music, which is not practical in large sense, but which is important to make a full person(cultivate/foster well-rounded person) , and also will be helpful in students’ further professional career. (你是不是忘了说地方会不开艺术课程?)What is worse; consider a child in a developing area, the short-sight of the authority in his/her town, who can not provide courses with a complete range of useful knowledge, may make the child another short-sight person and deprive his/her opportunity to success and repay the hometown, which will make the local education condition even worse.(其实你两点都是在说偏科的问题啊,没有递进关系,所以那个what is worse……)
It is true that a nation designed curriculum will provide a board and necessary basic knowledge for students; however, some domestic courses will become a meaningful guidance for their career life. For example, a boy lives near Silicon Valley may contact computer science in very early age, and his parents are working for international IT company such as IBM or Intel. With a strong interest in computer science, he is likely to become another Bill Gates(bill gates有点夸张,还是说优秀的computer engineer比较好) tomorrow. In this case, the local government should provide some special courses using local advantages and sources to prepare the students for advanced career life, which is excellent for the students and local development, and even for the whole nation.
In conclusion, without a national curriculum, students will waste a lot of time in adaptation after entering college, and bogged down by his incomplete knowledge range in further career life(这个……你的理由都是在假设上,怎么能肯定他们就会bog down?还是换到正面说的好。). And domestic course is an important counterpart of national curriculum to guide the student for more suitable professional routine.
可能是第一次写的原因吧,论证的深度不够呢,后面那个平衡论点太弱了。整篇读下来觉得句型有点单调。
不过是第一次嘛,情有可原。加油啊~~~
