The analysis of the director is over-simplistic. His conclusion of changing Good-Taste(GT) to Discount Foods(DF) is not well reasoned for several critical problems as stated below.

Firstly, he complains about the prices of GT without evaluating the quality of services provided. Although it is the second most expensive caterer in the city, its services and good quality of food may deserve such a price. What is more, the arguer complains about the rising price in each of the last three years. But he fails to see the reason why the price began to rise.  And as for DF, we get no information about the price of DF. Maybe the price of DF also increases because the cost for food rises throughout the nation. If so, we should not complain about the rising price of GT because it is the situation everywhere.

Secondly, the director argues that the food provided by GT can not satisfied people. He first show the evidence of three employees complains about the food. but we can not simply judge from this that the food is really bad. In fact, these three people might be exceptional examples whose tastes are different from the large group of people who are adapt to the food served by GT. For another, the refusing to provide special diets is not a good reason to refuse GT. Probably for many years, employees in this corporations have no requires of special foods. There is no need to add special foods in to the menu. Above all, No evidence shows that we should no longer use GT.

Thirdly, the arguer recommends DF because it offers a varied menu of fish and poultry. But he fails to see that it might be the case that people in Cedar Corporation do not favor such diets. What is more, he shows the evidence of a personal sample lunch, which he thought that tasted good. Without tasted all the diets and considering about the popularity tastes of the employees we cannot arrive at the conclusion that DF will be suitable.

To sum up, this argument is not well presented for the lack of evidence to show that GT's food is not favor by people and DF is an ideal substitute.
