I agree with the speaker's assertion that although most of the environmental problems result from the use of the technology, society must depend on it to find solutions to these problems.Nevertheless , we should also realize that under certain circumstances , other means, including avoiding using output of technology, can also be  an effective means to prevent and solve those problems at the first step.

First of all ,numerous environmental problems such as declining forest and climate disasters are mostly caused by human's using of new chemistry technology, thereby can be solved by developing technical weapons or other technology solutions to solve problems of this kind.To understand this, one need to look no further than the recent sand wind in the north areas of china. since human in recent years began to cut down more trees for the development of industry production where technology presenting as computers that can achieve automatic producing thereby , improving the working effectiveness greatly for wood industry, the overall function of retaining water and fixing soil that come from forest have reduced seriously , which caused the wind from north containing too much sand and cobbles.To diminish the bad result of this problem, chinese government enhanced its weather reporting system by applying the most sophisticated computer technology.Besides more breeds of grass are being developed in order to keep the soil effectively in those areas, which can prevent the sand wind in the first hand.

However , another fact we should realize is that technology is not versatile, and to deal with the environmental problems, human should not rely entirely on the advancement of technology.Instead, we should also try to put into practice our own wisdom as well as knowledge when learning from predecessor's experience.It is irrefutable fact that technology ,such as , computer science , mechanical , biology expertise,and so forth ,are inextricably the representative of human wisdom and knowledge, thereby can not always be more effective than human activity when it comes to the environmental dilemma.when we face with the environmental problems, such as deficient soil conditions ,or disordered weather conditions that are caused by abusing technology, we can turn to our basic knowledge of improving soil by natural fertile stuff just as our ancestors instead of using chemical products which might bring other side effects.


Finally,some serious environmental problems can only be solved by stopping using some certain output of new technology.recently , with the increasing paced up advancement of technology and science, we introduce too many changes for the instant sake of human beings by relying on the out put of those science power.For instance , to speed up mobility ,cars and other communal tools are developed in an high effective assembly lines in factories, which unavoidably bring our environment numerous potential problems, such as air pollution, increased natural resources using, and noise problems. Admittedly, with the development in fields of mechanic and material researches , we can find out new pollution free materials to provide us energy and operate those automobiles in a more reasonable way. however, to solve those problems entirely , the most effective means is undoubtedly stopping using them.In short , stopping using machines from technology is the best even only choice for our society to eliminate the environmental problems that are brought by them.


In conclusion, as any thing in the world technology also have both positive and negative effect over human society.In order to eliminate or prevent those issues ,we need to find the way of how to use technology wisely and effectively. Facing with distinct environmental situations we should make reasonable judgement over whether applying technical means or disposing of them to improve our living condition.


TOPIC: ARGUMENT188 - A new report suggests that men and women experience pain very differently from one another, and that doctors should consider these differences when prescribing pain medications. When researchers administered the same dosage of kappa opioids-a painkiller-to 28 men and 20 women who were having their wisdom teeth extracted, the women reported feeling much less pain than the men, and the easing of pain lasted considerably longer in women. This research suggests that kappa opioids should be prescribed for women whenever pain medication is required, whereas men should be given other kinds of pain medication. In addition, researchers should reevaluate the effects of all medications on men versus women.

Based on the research over the different reactions to pain between men and women ,The arguer claims that doctors should give women Kappa opioid while give men other pain killing medicine considering the result of the report.However, careful scrutiny reveals that the research is problematic in itself and cannot lead credibility to the author's assertions.

First of all, during the research, two groups of numbers should have the same physical conditions, ages, and ability of enduring pains , which cannot be ensured in the article . without evident demonstration, it is entirely possible that  participants of women group are younger , with stronger bodies and better ability of enduring pain than their counterparts in the men group, which , of course ,results different reaction to pain after the teeth extracting and has nothing directly related to the painkiller medicine.

Secondly, even assuming the research environment for controls, the arguer assumes that the situations for dentists are the same to those for other areas of doctors.although the painkiller works better among females rather than males, there are various kinds of illness that need the medicine to eliminate human's feeling to pain and situations might be changeable over the different traits of illness. however , the author fails to consider other possible situation and draw the unfair judgement only by doing research over dental disease, which is unpersuasive.

Finally, this research suggests that Ko should be prescribed for women whenever pain medication is required , whereas men should be given other kinds of pain medication, which is unreasonable and fails to consider other standards for a doctor when giving patients prescription.Perhaps although men reacts more sensitively to pain than women afer using Ko , this medicine is the most effective one in comparison other kinds , which might have bad working capacity or bring patient side effects. without examing other standards for a medicine , the author cannot justifiably suggest doctors stop giving male patients Ko just for it effort to kill pains.

To sum up, the arguer provide little conceiving evidence to support his or her recommendation and the research presented is too problematic in itself to be meaningful and persuasive.To support the assertion the author need to substantiate participants of research are of the same health condition and pain endurance, while there are also some other proper painkiller medicines available for patients.
