The greatness of individuals can be decided only by those who live after them, not by their contemporaries.

The speaker asserts that the greatness of individuals is decided not by their contemporaries but only by the descents. But in my opinion, the speaker’s view is right in some aspects such as the science, but has no significances in the area of arts and politics, we can discuss it one by one as follows.
It is true when we refer to the field of science, there is no research whose benefits are immediate and predictable, as we know, people often have skeptical attitude to the theory which is proved by the scientist, take the Thomas Edison, the American famous inventor who has more the 100 invention, for example, his major invention were designed and built in the last years of the Eighteen-Hundreds. However, most of them had their greatest effect in the Twentieth Century that has made possible the progress of technology. An another powerful有力的example is Bronu whose claims did harm to the government of Roman religion was fires to death at Roman Ground, his opinion was recognized by offspring scientist several centuries later. Lets look at Elvis Presley, the  undisputed King of Rock and Roll, he was so popular during his lifetime that his popular records was sold more than five-million copies in 1956. Also the famous writer-- Ernest Hemingway, whose novels was so fashionable in his early age that made him famous in Paris even all over the world and got the Nobel Prize for literature in his later life in 1954.
In the realm of politics, the leader’s great achievement is recognizable immediately. The wonderful leader usually concerns about the people’s interests, improves the living standard, and even builds the social-welfare, all of which will benefit to their citizens so that they are respected by their contemporaries. The new American’s first president—George Washington, the man who led American people to victory in their war for independence from Britain and kept the new nation united in the dangerous of its life, had a strange power over the American in his life time and even nowadays. His personality and influence were extremely important at the Philadelphia convention that wrote the new Constitution which was the new nation’s plan of government.
In conclusion, the speaker’s assert is too absolute that they overlook the great individuals particularly in the area of the arts and politics, however, it is true in the area of science for the theory might withstand centuries of rigorous scientific scrutiny.

内容：文章以领域来分伟人是否能被当今人或后人认识到有点不妥，因为在各个领域里都是既有被后人认识到的，也有被当今人认识到的，除非我们能证明在某领域一个比另一个多，但是这种证明仅仅凭借单纯的几个例子是很难说服人的。所以个人认为既然文章采取了折中的观点，那么就要分析一下什么情况下伟人能被当今人认识到，什么情况下又能被后人认识到（比如说当时的社会背景，伟人成果本身的性质，其实你在文章中都有提到，但是你首先是说各个领域有什么特点。其实我们知道在同一领域里，各个伟人的作品的性质也是不同的，以科学为例，偏理论的可能就不容易被当今人接受，而偏应用的则可以），而不是简单的分领域。
结构：文章结构很清晰，典型的三段式结构
语法：注意连词的使用，长句的应用也要注意
