According to this statement, the author said that as machines are only tools of human minds, the human mind will always superior to machines. Although there are some exceptions in specific situations, I agree with this statement in general.

Nowadays, our lives are full of machines. For instance, the washing machine can wash clothes for us. The air condition can make our room cool in hot summer. Television has been an integral part of human’s life. Where are these machines from? All of this is from people’s intelligence and diligence. Without people’s great idea, we even don’t know that what the machine is.

People’s existence causes machines appearance. However, the most difference between machine and human is that human own the ability of creativity. If we consider efficiency of work, machine can be much better than man in many respects. A computer can calculate over one thousand rimes in one second and work for long hours, man even is not able to calculate one time in a minute and can’t work over 16 hours a day. But the core of this question is that human always have new idea to invent machines to make them work for people and have the ability to control them. Machine doesn’t own this kind of ability, all they can do is to try to finish human’s order as soon as possible. To sum up, although machine can do the job much better than the people to do the job by themselves, machine is just human’s tool and worked for human under their control. If this lasts, human’s mind is always superior to machines.

On the other hand, the situation is changed when people can not control machine well. Machine not only can bring benefits to human but also can harm human as well. For example, weapons are also the tool from human’s mind. When we look back in 20th century, what the mainly work of weapons was? The answer was killing people. So many people died because of weapon in the First and Second World War. The situation still exists in today’s society. Many countries try to invent new weapons to kill more people to gain largest benefits. In the example of the weapon, we can’t say the human mind is better than machines. As the appearance of weapon is not a fault, when people invented it at first was to prevent people from attack, it’s the conflicts of human’s mind that make weapon becoming the tool of killing people.

In sum, I agree that machine is the tool what human invented. And human’s idea is superior than machine in most of the time. But the premise is that people can use the machine in taking advantages for the people. If not, people can ruin themselves in using machines under wrong human’s mind. If people are ruined with the existence of machine, that the human mind will always be superior to machines sounds ridiculous.
