时间N久，怎么也不能限时 ，愁死我了，这篇感觉写得很差。大家狠拍吧！！！:funk:

TOPIC: ISSUE159 - "The human mind will always be superior to machines because machines are only tools of human minds."
Is the human mind will always be superior to machines because machines are only tools of human minds, like the speaker asserts? I concede that machines are tools of human mind, they are created to help people work easier and more efficient or to entertain people. However, whether human mind will always be superior to machines largely depends on how intelligent the machines will be, after all we human are facing an unknown future, no one could tell what will happen then.

Admittedly, the creation of machines has greatly changed people's every day lives. The computer, for instance, dating from the 1940s, has become an indispensable assistance to people's work today.  It has rapidly changed the way people work and live ever since its emergence. A specially designed computer program would solve a problem in a moment which would cost a person working with a pen and paper one or several days to solve. What is more, computers can work constantly for a week or several months regardless nights and days without mistakes, which have surpassed the limitations of the human.  More over, the man-made robots can work in the extreme conditions such as toxic environment, nuclear plants; they are even used to paint on the skyscrapers.

Further more, the machines also bring about worries to human. Today, people become more and more reliable on machines: imagine the situation that all the computers in the world collapse at the same time, what a great panic that the world would be in? I could say the effects that will have on the world is much heavier than the World War. Besides, the controversy about if machines could be superior to human mind has never been stopped. This is especially true after a man-made computer defeated the most famous chess master of the world in 1997. As we can see, machines today are only 'machines' to carry out human orders, they do not have their own thought, and there are just some programs and parts inside the machines. If there has some problems with the machine, we can directly cut off its power. However, the situation changed after the report of scientists have designed the robot that can learn people’s behaviors by itself, what is more the robot also has its own consciousness, even if it is very elementary. One could imagine that, at the beginning, machines learn the behaviors of people, and then they have their own consciousness and emotion, after several years, they could even think as the way people do. What kind of situation would be then? It reminds me the famous movie ‘I, Robot’, there are robots every where looking for men to kill them. No one surely wants to see that.

Some people would argue that could not happen, because it is human who creates machine, and it would also the human who could control it. But who knows what will happen in the future? Nobody! What we could do to stop it? I do not know, leave the problems to the scientists would be the only thing we can do.

To sum up, it is true that machines are tools of human mind; they are just combinations of irons and plastics and have no self-consciousness. However, the situation that machines would surpass the human should also be concerned.
