"Although the multimineral Zorba pill was designed as a simple dietary supplement, a study of first-time ulcer patients who took Zorba suggests that Zorba actually helps prevent ulcers. The study showed that only 25 percent of those ulcer patients who took Zorba under a doctor's direction developed new ulcers, compared to a 75 percent recurrence rate among ulcer patients who did not take Zorba. Clearly, then, Zorba will be highly effective in preventing recurrent ulcers and if health experts inform the general public of this fact, many first-time ulcers can be prevented as well."

The arguer hastily recommends the general public to use Zorba on an unwarranted assumptions of the effect of Zorba by providing the result of a study without enough details and consideration of other treatment, either.

In the first place, the arguer did not provide enough information of the research. Are there many patients be divided into 2 groups? Are all the patients suffering the ulcers in the study in the same health state? Are all the patients are treated by the same doctors, using the same medicine other than Zorba? If there are only 8 patients divided into two groups in the study, one in the experimented group suffer again compared to three in the control group, or if the patients in the experimented group are young and healthy people compared to the old and debilitated in the control group, the validity of the research is dubious. It is also possible that the doctor treating the experimented group has more experience than one in the control group. Without detail information of the study, the result will not be accepted.

More over, even if the study is valid, and the Zorba can effectively prevent the recurrent ulcers, there is no guarantee that it can prevent the first-time ulcers. It is possible that those who easily suffer the ulcers have inherited the gene from their parents, which can hardly be prevented. And it is common that a medicine which can cure the disease has no effect in preventing it, partly because it works in different way in the body when it is healthy. Therefore, the assumption that Zorba can prevent the first-time ulcer is unwarranted and oversimplified.

Even if the Zorba is highly effective in preventing both the first-time and the recurrence of ulcers, there may still be no need to use the Zorba. No evidence in the argument shows that many people suffered from ulcers and it is hard to cure. Since it might not be a very serious illness, there is no need to have Zorba regularly to prevent it. The arguer says that Zorba was designed as a simple dietary supplement previously, so there is a great chance that the effective ingredients in Zorba are also contained in many foods. Then eating the foods has the same effect as having Zorba. The arguer forgets to mention the price of Zorba, as well. If it is very expensive, most people will not use that to prevent ulcers if substitute exist.

To sum up, unless the arguer provides enough information of the effect of Zorba both in preventing recurrence and first-time ulcers, and the necessity of using it, it is hard to persuade the general public to use it.

我在想这个argument不好写，当然你写的很不错，不过有批评才有进步！
首先第一点是很有水平的，我个人很喜欢，因为我写的时候脑子一团糨糊，不知道怎么把那些问题一个一个捋顺。
第二点和第三点就要差一点：表现在第二点写得很空，主要是说没有说得很让人信服，当然我的也说得不好，一起想想办法吧；而第三点似乎作者没有说：要regular服用呀？至少她没有说出来。而在这样批驳的时候好象有点过？？
