issue5 天道酬勤小组第一次作业 TOPIC: ISSUE5 - "A nation should require all its students to study the same national curriculum until they enter college rather than allow schools in different parts of the nation to determine which academic courses to offer."
WORDS: TIME: 0:43:31 DATE: 2007-6-23 There is no doubt that some basic courses are required to be studied by every individuals. But we should not neglect the differences between each person, and we must give each person some special courses based on their interests and personalities.【按照你后面的思路，不仅仅是个人的差异，应该还要加上不同地方有不同的文化和宗教】 To begin with, Interest is the best teacher, and we should educate student according to their own interest. Education can be most efficient when students' interests are met.[觉得有些生硬，这样会不会好一点？when it conform to the students’ interests ] We are all different people, and we all have our own hobby. So we may very eager to learn some courses related to our interests, as a consequence, we indulge ourselves in the study of this course and the education can be very[more] efficient. To the contrary, we may find some courses boring and unwilling to spend our time in this kind of studying,[我不知道有没有这样的表达？to spend our time to study them] noting from this kind of study, we may lose the interest to study in school from now on because we find studying is so vexed. Therefore, we should give student some special courses related to their own interest, only in this way we can achieve the effient[efficient or purpose] of education. In addition, different places may have different cultures or different religions, so some particular courses related to their cultures should be taught to the descendant in order to pass on the value. Courses about some religion group taught to the descendants can preserve each group's culture. Every places has its own uniqueness, and a national common curriculum can not cover all aspects of every places own characteristics and taught each student in details of their own place's culture, so the values of some religion group may be lost or history of some places may be forgot gradually by the citizens due to we do not give some particular courses about our own places and religion. So a national curriculum may have lots of defects in respect of passing on religion values and local places' history. However, some national curriculum should be compulsory [compulsorily] taken by each student. Students can benefit a lot from the national curriculums. Each individual should acquire some basic knowledge without which we can not live in this society. Some basic every day skills are needed to survive in this progressing society, it is hard to imagine a man can not do some fundamental math problems or can not write to live independently by himself.[him] So some courses are compulsory needed for the students to gain some basic skills. Also, some core values system or moral attitude shared by all people can be taught through the common national courses. To sum up, we should not force all the students to take the same courses before they enter the college, but set some common national courses are necessary. Both the special courses and the common courses are beneficial to the students. 你提纲应该是； 一些基础核心的课程每个人都应该学习。由于个人和地区的差异，一些涉及到兴趣、宗教、价值观的课程可以不同。 1. 每个人都是不同的，不同的人有不同的兴趣爱好，只有和兴趣一致的课程才能获得最好的效果。 2. 不同的地方有不同的文化、宗教和价值观，为了让这些传承下去，不同的地方应该开设相关的课程。 3. 一些基础核心的课程全国应该强制开设，因为这些课程教会学生基本的生存技能，同时宣扬国家的核心价值观和道德观。 总体看来，思路清晰，语言流畅。【我应该好好学习】不知道是不是先看范文再写？ 只是论证起来，语言不是很有力，也缺乏很好的例子加以支持。可能与这个话题也有一定的关系。 总的来说，还是很不错。加油！ 呵呵，能力有限有没有什么更好的建议。
