The speaker's recommendation about the establishment of a global university for the purpose of solving the persistent social problems is considerable and meaningful. Since such a global university will not only serve to draw the attention of countries all over the world to the most serious social problems, but will also combine the universal endeavor of many countries to search for the better way to dispose the problems. However, taking into account the merits of global university does not mean it is without problems. The management of such university still leaves much room to be desired.

First of all, we have to acknowledge the great significance and necessity of a global university. In some circumstance, it can serve to call alarm to certain countries to the potential social problems which would pose great hazard to the people within or outside the countries and would otherwise neglected by their government. For instance, some developing countries badly concentrate on economical improvement while overlooking the environmental problems caused as a negative byproduct of economical evolution. Once this phenomenon is recognized by the global university and taken into their investigation, those countries would probably know the adverse outcome from their hasty emphasis on economy from the warning suggested by the university. And through the association of global university they would take active actions to deal with the problems. For this matter, global university can help to draw the emphasis of some countries that blind to the persistent social problem for the partial concentration on other fields.

In addition, the global university would strengthen the cooperation among the countries all over the world and pursue more practical and sound means to solve the pressing social problems by generalizing the different suggestions and conceptions from diverse students. Since the students registered in global university are probably from countries over the world, the strengthened endeavor of various students would in some extent amount to the enhanced cooperation among countries. Regarding some serious social problems which are beyond the capability of single country such as international crime and global air pollution, prevalence of vital virus like bird flu, it is imperative and essential to encourage the universal cooperation of different countries. Besides, students with diverse culture background and systems of value and cogitation would provide more practical resolutions towards the persistent social problems by exchange their ideas and debating the advantage and disadvantage of each conceptions, which would broad their vision and make them consider more related aspects. Through their communication and investigation, the resolution to deal with the problems would be more perfect.

However, the foregoing reasons of the significant benefit of a global university should not blind us to the questionable facets of the establishment and the management of the global university. For example, students more often than not are lack the experiences of tackling such problems and inclined to fail to take into full account the economic and political complexity of countries, For this matter, even if they find the perfect theoretical measures, there is a good case that those measures can not be taken into practice. On the other hand, the political interruption from certain countries may affect the process of investigation, which may result in the unequal solutions, which might undermine the interests and rights of related country, brought by the students reluctantly. Simply up, the global university had a long way to go to achieve its primary destination.

In sum, to build a global university to engage students from different countries in solving the persistent social problems would contribute greatly to our society as a whole, for it can attract the attention from countries to the potential events which may be otherwise neglected and also can find the better way to dispose the problems efficiently. However, it still faces a lot of questions. To better establish and manage the university effectively, the governor of this university should pay more attention to the economical and political reality of every country and avoid being dominated by certain countries.

目前感觉多数人写这个文章都是二段赞成，一段反对。观点也都差不多。
这个文章也不偏不倚吧，我看了3遍了，也感觉没有地方下手。
