      艺术家创造了产品，是这些产品产生了社会作用。而评论家只是对这个产品的一个Assess，filter，feed back
      并没有产生产品。

      评论家的作用。
    3.评论家的不好的地方。（更是说明了他们不可能产生lasting value）.
    4.实际上，后人更多的是记住了艺术家，而很少评论能造成lasting value，因为一个时期人们对艺术有不同的评价，
      艺术实体是有意义的，而以前的评价意义不大了。如文学艺术，一个时代会有一个理解。

       时间关系，没有安提纲来，只是分析评论家的几种功能来说明他们不可能有lasting value.没有说明artists为什么有lasting value，说他们是artist的创造者，论述还显淡薄，另外也没有安提纲的写Critics的不好，进一步说明critics难产生lasting value.批改时再加上。

I fundamentally agree with speaker's assertion that it is artist rather than critic who give society something of lasting value.

The chief reason I agree with the assertion lies in the function of arts. Arts has an effect on the individual and on a particular culture in a society. Psychologically, art enhance life by adding beauty to our surroundings. It is a source of pleasure and relaxation from the stresses of life. Socially , art plays a number of different roles by virtue of its capacity to embody symbolic significance to its audience. All these function derive from the arts itself, that is from the work of artists, not from the work of critics. Few will argue that the great art can never be called great without the talent and hard work of artists. On contrast we can nerver regard highly to a terrible art just because the critic put good word to it. Which decide the vaule of arts and thus its function to society and audience is the arts itselves not what the critics' assess. Though the influence of critics on arts cannot be ignored.

Consider the function of critics.They serve as a bridge between arts and the auidence in three aspests. First, to introduce the audience the main content and features of arts, which will be even more criticall in the case of some professional arts that it is not easier for  common audiences without certain professional knowledge to understand them easily, help the auidence apprieate the arts well. Second, serve the filter function, since for common people the limited time and energy make it possible to touch  every arts, the critics can help them choose the most valueble and suitable arts for certain audience. Third, feed back fuction, collect the suggestion of audience to the artists to help them improve them work to better meet the requirement of audience.

However, upon the three major function metioned, none of them can give society lasting value. for the introduction function, it is useful for the comtemperal audience, not for the people living after them, thus it is highly unlikely that it will produce any lasting value. Since the view on the same art will change as the world change, the different sociel value, the evoleved culture will greatly influence the current critics, they even can make completely different critism compared with the critics in history. History is replete with such example,Van Gogh, whose two painting which are still living recently break all records for selling in $50,000, sold only one paiting in his entile cereer. Thus the criticism in history have little influence for the current audience.Same as introduction fuction, the filter function is also mostly for the comtemperal audiences. Those once suggested as the most valuable arts in history may be not so valubale in the eyes of current critics and audience. And it is even impossible for the current critic feed back the voice of current audience to the artists when it come to feed back function of critics. In short ,the functions of critics faded as the world developed, which make it hard to have lasting value.

In sun, the critics help the audience better appreciate the arts and the arts improve their wok. Nevertheless, all what they can do have little influence for the future audience, thus have little lasting value. It is artists who create the arts, give society someting of lasting value, and the value will be recognized by the future people as long as the arts be recongized and appreciated.
