Unfortunately, we have not yet learned how to raise children who can help bring about a better society." 字数：474 用时：0:45:00 日期：2007-08-07 Since children are the future of our society, and sooner or later they will carry on the destiny of society, so the importance of raising the children is the crucial issue in the world today. But while acknowledging the education's dispensable role in the growing up of children, I do not agree with the writer while he mentioned that we have not yet learned how to raise children in a way helping them bring about a better society. To my point of view, we have done a lot to teach them, there is only one point left here - waiting them to realize by themselves how to work out a better world. To begin with, most of parents want their children to be a good and useful person to the society, so they have brought up them in a way of showing them the good sides of humanity. As we know, from a early age, children are always taught to be kind-hearted, honest, brave, independent and so on. Most parents have pulled out all they have to their children: they pay for the courses the children are interested in; they spend lots of time playing with them; they buy gifts and other things for their children and want them to have a happy childhood. When they are growing up, the parents started to develop children's independent character and tell them about the society more deeply. Through out all the growing up, most parents can not contribute more to their children; maybe they do not know how to analyze the children's actions or follow any scientific methods after the analysis, but they are the only people in the world who care the children most, which is of most importance for the children's growing up. Besides that, the whole society emphasis the children very much, which should never be concluded that we have not yet learned how to raise children in a better way. From my own experience, I had a lot of priority when I was a child. No fee was needed to visit the museum, the ticket was always half of the price while we traveled with our parents, and the tuition of primary school and junior school we paid was just for books. All this has broadened more in the education policy in our country today. So the society has built a good environment for the children growing up in a harmony atmosphere. Considering the endless care from the parents and the society, it is not fair to say that we do not know how to raise children to make them bring out a better society. And one generation's contribution to the world when they grow up should be related to their own hard-work and self-development too. So from this point of view, we should not deny the parents and society's work to children's growing up. |
