Many people believe that the scandals will cumber the development of society; however, I do not accept that opinion. For scandals, a positive attitude can let us obtain more than the progress of social development. The scandals have significant meaning on the development of society and correct our behavior.

When it comes to scandal, in politics aspect, Water Gate Scandal is one of the most influential affairs in America history. America president Nixon spied the secret information of campaign rival by illegal approaches, and finally exposed by two journalists, president was finally forced to resign his position. The whole nation was shocked by the matter, which also make the American society to pay more attention on the process of campaign. The scandal obviously affects the America, and boosts the rationality and fair of election. Another very important case is Bill Clinton, his sex scandals also make American politics focus more attention to the ethic and morale improvement, which will benefit the development of the whole country.

For scandals, it is not only an influential affair, its effect is not only limited in its identity, but also can be considered as a criterion for evaluating some other social aspects. A case in this point is in China, a scandal, maybe is the most serious scandal in Chinese research field happened in 2006, which is a famous professor in a famous university of Shanghai, he cheat for 100 million yuan for research CPU chip. However, surprisingly, his work team did not invent any new chip, in contrast, their research product is just a common chip, they polished the original brand and type number, and brands their new mark. In this affair, we should learn more experience rather than understand it limited in research field. For one aspect, the government did not take any punishment for his behavior, which shows that our legal system is not strict enough; for aspect of school, such serious sandals also reflect the bugs in school administration system.

Admittedly, not all scandals are meaningful; some petty affairs distract our attention, which may result we overlook some problems is so serious that must be paid more attention too. However, it cannot deny the meaning of the scandal. Furthermore, the process of human society development is the process of interweave of committing mistakes and amending mistakes continually.

In sum, no one is willing to see scandal occurring in our society. However, as an old saying, failure is the mother of success. All affairs have two sides, the scandal identity does not benefit the development of the society, but we can learn from the scandal, and avoid commit the same mistakes in the future. In sense of that, the sandal is not a harmful thing for the country.
