The speaker stood on the position of students and calls for education which (should) serves for each learner and suits everyone’s needs and interests. I feel very glad the speaker was aware that students are the largest target of education and the suggestion he or she proposed was ideal. However, the speaker neglected to consider another target that education should serve for(这句话不好改,总觉得不通顺)—the whole society and country. Besides (that), he or she also did not think thoroughly about the feasibility of this suggestion.
At first, I agree (with) that looking education as a service to students and it must satisfy students’ requirements--regardless absorbing knowledge or expanding interests--as possible as it can. And our education truly has done lots of efforts to reach this aim. Nowadays education has various forms, like skill cultivating school, training center, interests group and so on. They are all for student’s special requests. In addition, with the help of internet or TV station, remote education, which can span time and space to serve educators, is accepted and used widely. These new style educations’ appearance exactly reflects that education as a service is doing its best (to design )to meet students’ needs.
Then, someone may cite gradual education’s shortages on serving for individual requirements to confute my defense for education. It’s hard to deny that normal education, like primary, junior, or high school, even university, cannot meet everyone’s needs. That’s why there are many complaints about school’s course design or teaching style. However, did these complainants consider education’s another important target—society? We all accept that the output of education is for kinds of positions in society. Therefore, what talents society needs decides what education should be. Does our society only needs IT graduates, not need people working on geology or mining? On the other hand, the requests of students or their parents and so called interests are misled by temporal tendency of society. For instance, during 1995-2000 in china, there are many vacant positions in IT fields and at that time the income of a programmer was very high, but now, too many graduates major in computer science cannot find proper jobs.
没有看明白你这一段要说什么。前面似乎你要反驳说教育不能满足个人需求是因为要满足社会需求,可是后面却举了IT行业的例子说明教育没能考虑到社会的需要,这个例子不太恰当。
Thirdly, education has no ability to content individual’s needs. How many students are there缺谓语 over this world? If education must be designed basing on each one's need, think that, how heavy (load) the work would be! In my view, it is impossible. Unless the whole society and large parts of people engaged in education, assigning one teacher for one student, can we actually meet the need of evryone.(unless的从句后面没有主句啊)But then we would have no labors or energy to do any other things (production, trade, or diplomacy). Then one problem occurs: where would these talents output to when they finished their study?
To sum up, I truly understand the speaker’s standpoint and admit education should serve for students and do its best to meet their needs and interests. However, society, as a significant target of education, its requests should also be considered. In addition, the speaker’s suggestion that education will be efficient only when it is designed for individuals has no practicability.
