TOPIC: ISSUE51 - "Education will be truly effective only when it is specifically designed to meet the individual needs and interests of each student."
WORDS: 509          TIME: 1:58:40          DATE: 2007-10-25

I insofar disagree with the issue that the only effective way of education is when it is specifically designed to meet the individual needs and interests of each other. Though it might have extraordinary effects to some extent, This kind of measure might not be so effective in other conditions and, besides, some other measures might be as effective as it, even with much more obvious effects.

Firstly, educating in ways specifically designed to meet individual needs and interests may not so effective as it is expected. No doubt that this way can meet each person's request on education, however, at the same time, more educational resources are needed. Especially in the developing country, such as China, which still faces with severe pressures from large population, this kind of education method would doubtlessly be difficult for coming into use, let alone the effectiveness of it. Besides, as learning to work together is one of the most important purposes, this education method can devote little to the comprehension  of cooperation. For the exact need and interest differ from each other, then less opportunities of communication and cooperation in process of studying will be provided. On the other side, with the high development of science and technology, cooperation is in an even more significant position. As a whole, such education form mentioned in the issue seems not so effective in some extent.

Even having accepted that education through ways specially designed to meet the individual needs and interests is effective in some scopes, however, it is not the only measure. Some knowledge is also necessary to be arranged into education, though it might seem to be so boring that no one have any interests in. Then, such subject has to be on the basis of compulsory education, which is actually not specially designed, some elementary subject for example. What is more, as the undergraduating students usually do not comprehend themselves, misconception of themselves might happen to do harm to their growth----they may be competent on one field even without knowing themselves. At this time, teaching in accordance of their aptitude is of great importance. Besides what is mentioned above, many other component of education will be effective as well, rather than the only one specially designed.

Though further study shows that many aspects of the measure specially designed for individuals are still open to doubt, its advantage should not be ignored. Genius is such a kind of wealth. As is known to all, Mozart is born to music, Gauss is innate in Math, and Kimi Raikkonen----the new-born champion in F1----is commonly accepted as a talent on driving. Some person do have one scope that he or she seems accomplished in since a baby, then, special design according to their individual needs and interests is required.

As a conclusion, I cannot agree with the issue that education is truly effective only when specially designed for the individual needs and interests to some extent, unless for those who are super outstanding at a certain field. And common and compulsory education cannot be easily substituted.

I insofar disagree with the issue that the only effective way of education is when it is specifically designed to meet the individual needs and interests of each other. (可适当改写一下speaker的观点:the assertion that the only way to construct an effective educational system is to meet the individual needs and interests of each student.)Though it might have extraordinary effects to some extent, this kind of measure might not be so effective in other conditions and, besides, some other measures might be as effective as it, even with much more obvious effects.(首段应该尽量笼统,采用概述类型,可不提出相应论点,表示出自己观点即可)

Firstly, educating in ways(不认识这个短语...) specifically designed to meet individual needs and interests may not so effective as it is expected. No doubt that this way can meet each person's request on education, however, at the same time, (however可以删除,at the same time在表示同时的意思时,也有转折的意思)more educational resources are needed. Especially in the developing country, such as China, which still faces with severe pressures from large population, this kind of education method would doubtlessly be difficult for coming into use, let alone the effectiveness of it. (perfect examples)Besides, as learning to work together is one of the most important purposes, this education method can devote little to the comprehension  of cooperation. For the exact need and interest differ from each other, then less opportunities of communication and cooperation in process of studying will be provided. On the other hand, with the high development of science and technology, cooperation is in an even more significant position. As a whole, such education form mentioned in the issue seems not so effective as it is expected in some extent.
