Issue 87修改: In any field of inquiry, is the beginner more likely than the expert to make important discoveries? The speaker claims so. I concede that there do a few beginners made important discoveries in the field of inquiry. (这样表达会不会好点:A few beginners do made important discoveries in the field of inquiry). However, in my view, most important discoveries were found by experienced people and by countless trial and error. (开头简练,观点明确,好) One reason for my fundamental disagreement with the speaker is that on the whole, the number of the beginners who made important discoveries is less. Inquiry is a hard work need great patience and many years of accumulation. In the field of inquiry, in order to make important discoveries, one needs to be provided with special knowledge and have the ability to make right selections. Most of the qualifications are (加个词)those beginners could not have. For example, the filament was found by many times’ experiments(这个例子可以再多说几句,既拉长了文章又增强了说服力). The chances of a beginner (加个词)who have a new idea and try the first time to discover it is slim. Such works are beginners could not complete(这个表达有点中文化,这样会不会好点:Such works could not be completed by beginners). The fields of inquiry are made up of many such works. Most of the discoveries are worked out by experienced men.
Another reason why I essentially disagree with the speaker is that so called beginners are not persons who know(n) nothing. (不太明白,你说新手并不意味着一无所知,这是赞同还是反对?)At least, they should have the ability to know that what shown is different from what ever before(不太明白这句话). Compared to other people, they do qualify with considerable correlative knowledge. Those beginners are experts too; just compared to their precursors, they could be Called beginners. Could a musician make(s) important discovery in the field of atomic physics? I am afraid that even the musician really finds something, he/she could not know what ever it is(,) except they are atomic physics experts too.(觉得不太有说服力)
Certainly, have known that there are really a few people we called them beginners who made great discoveries, we should not ignore the huge effect of those beginners. To some extent, they don’t bind their ideas in static ways and have more imagination than other people. They could do things that other experts would call it impossible or crazy. And I believe that’s a source of discovery. (此段让步,好) To sum up, the problem that whether beginners is more likely than the experts to make important discoveries, must be considered in a rational way. I concede that there are a few so called beginners make great discoveries. However, the number of them is relative small and most of them possess considerable knowledge; compared to most people, they are experts already. So, to say that in any field of inquiry, the beginner is more likely than the expert to make important discoveries cannot be accepted.
