(2)nowadays, the non-mainstream inquiries still exists, form the base for science and act as a tool of entertainment

   It is common sense that people will resort to uncanny power for explanations when incurring the mysterious phenomena, as a result, the areas of inquiry as astrology, fortune-telling, and psychic and paranormal pursuits come into being as the instrument of explaining, which satisfied the need of human being. Although the power of the inquiry aforementioned played an important role in the primitive stage of history, with the neck-break improvement of technology, which decreasing inquiry’s authority in people's daily life, its influence gradually weakens nowadays. Conceding that it is still satisfying human demands that are not addressed by mainstream science, over-depending of such inquiry will overturn the whole society.
   Firstly, dating back to the primitive times, the inquiry did play a vital role in the mental area of human being. As it is known to all, phenomena such as thunderburst, solar eclipse, and comets fleeting over the sky can not be understand in the ancient times, in spite of those areas, the question of human being itself also annoying the ancestors, including "where are we origin from  and go after the death, since we are mortal.", and "is there a channeling existed ?" since the development of science is limited. While seeking for the unknown world is the innate character of human being, so the inquiry such as astrology, fortune-telling, and psychic and paranormal pursuits was born. Because of their birth, the demand of explaining uncanny observation was satisfied and the anxiety of mystery also calmed.
  Secondly, the non-mainstream are of inquires still exists in the contemporary times, although the science has reached significant advance with the efforts of generations of genus. On the one hand, the positive role the inquiry can not be ignored when tracing back the development routine of today's science. Examples are as follows: modern astronomy bases on the astrology, physic stems from the sorcery, and what is more, the alchemy is the prototype of chemistry. Although sometimes people called such inquiry including the astrology, fortune-telling as non-mainstream area, or definitely as pseudoscience, they origin from numerous observational phenomena, and through the process of logical analyzing, reasoning and summarizing, evolve into the modern science. On the other hand, the non-stream areas of inquiry provide the human being with entertainment tool. At the party time, tarot card often becomes the hero, which indicating the future fate of marriage, health and professional career. Its role of uncovering the unknown future did satisfy human's need for the future, and mainly, through it people at the party relaxed. Moreover, a large part of uneducated people and underclass existed in the society, who are not able to understand the elusive corn of science, thus accepted the inquiry as an instrument for explaining their curiosity and comforting their care for the destiny.
  Finally, when excessively resorting to the inquiry not addressed by mainstream science, the disadvantage of such behavior revealed. For instance, when holding the belief that people are destined to be someone, people will stopping for their future or taking responsibility of the society, since they already know the destined fate, and devotion is of no use in the charge of life. Considering those serious effect of the wrong-headed domination of human's metal world, the whole society should set up an objective view of the areas of inquiry. Resorting to science, rather then depending on the non-mainstream areas did resolve the complex problem. Consequently, holding the scientific belief can progress the technology and thus the welfare of the human being.
  In a word, during the developing process of the non-mainstream areas of inquiry, its positive role lies on acting as placebo facing the unknown thing under certain condition, especially its contribution to the foundation of modern science. However, exorbitant inquiry outweighs its benefits accumulating in the history and probably resulting in the negative effects such as destruction of the aggressive faith. Comparing both of the aspects, areas of inquiry should be limited and under control.
