ISSUE141 - "Most people recognize the benefits of individuality, but the fact is that personal economic success requires conformity."

I agree with the speaker that sometimes conformity brings personal economic success. However, whether it is possible to form conformity is suspected, let alone discussing the topic if conformity is the key to personal success. Moreover, conformity might harm one’s effort to gain success. Individuality should be respected and it might be a more essential element of economic success.

Since people can’t attain huge achievement just by taking effort himself/herself, cooperation is necessary. In that case, we have to admit that people might not cooperate, to some extent, without conformity. It can be imagined what would happen if each preeminent leader in Microsoft just consider his/her own strategy in market and product, and fights with each other for the decision which would be made.

However, it is dubious that whether real conformity can be formed. People in different region owns different value, belief, religion, behavior, which causes it is nearly unnecessary to order individuals with such a big difference to conform absolutely. The inherited weakness of conformity determines the fact that some people will not subordinate to others when there is a collision among their ideologies. The result is, in most cases, conformity might not be formed in this society which consists with diverse individuals, let alone hoping it brings us economic success.

Query whether conformity is the key to attain personal economic success, given sometimes individuals conform to each other. Actually, what conformity brings to us is common and compromise, which means the lost of unique features in personality. A group or a company with definite conformity nearly means it is consist with only one mind. It is hardly admitted that only one person’s opinion is the definitive element of a company’s economic success. In that situation, how can individuals gain any huge achievement? Ignorance of individuality and pursuing conformity frenetically might lead to a harm influence to individual’s economic success. The reason why it is hard to find an enterprise with a common opinion and frequently it is different proposals are given when a decision is made is just because of the harmful affect to enterprise and personnel.

What’s more, not only individuality need be respected in this democratic, equal society, but also it is essential for people to gain financial success. Take a look around, diverse opinions and proposals are the main point to the success of enormous enterprises like Apple, SONY, and Siemens, which also shift individuals to be economic success in these enterprises. Moreover, Mr. Sergey Brin, who oriented Google, consists to provide the FrontPage of Google website a clean, non-advertises page, when other websites is full of propagandas. It is just the pithy FrontPage that help Google achieve the most users. We have to admit it is Mr. Sergey Brin’s individuality that helps him to construct such a special website and gain an enormous success.

In sum, conformity might be available in requiring personal economic success. However, it should be realized that conformity would not be formed on many occasions, and it should not be neglected the negative influence of conformity. Individuality should be respected and sometimes it is more important in pursuing one’s success.

It is hard to image what would happen if each preeminent leader of Microsoft only carry out own strategy even fights with other competitors all by himself/herself.）

Body部分正－反－反-正，倒是给我启示了，同样的观点可以不同角度加以论述，皑皑～我的那篇实在惨点～例子有点单薄，论述相对就多了～不过你限时了！羡慕中……语言流畅，喜欢！
