It is often a question of who gives society something of lasting value, the artist or the critic. Artist creates art while critic guides people to appreciate art. Therefore, artist and critic give society something of lasting value together.

Artist is the principal for the artistic creation. Artist is play the important role on the social lasting value because they create art which enrich people’s spiritual life and bring the enjoyment of art to the people. Some ordinary objects, such as a cup, a chair and a bike may appear in the artist’s works. Artists use the attitude of found to life, they show the beautiful things in our daily life in their music, painting, photos, movies and other works.

“Critical Consciousness” says “Critic dependents on other people's thinking essentially.” The criticism is that people who stand in a certain class position, using certain viewpoints and methods of the work carried out by the analysis and evaluation. The main target of criticism is artist’s work, its mission is to evaluate the success and failure, gains and losses, thus it has enormous role in society lasting value. The analysis of Marx and Engels’s on 拉萨尔的<济金根>, the analysis of Lenin on Lev Tolstoy’s work and the  analysis of Mao Zedong to Lu Xun’s work is the criticism model.

The value of the society existence lasts a long time rather than a short time then forgotten by the society, it should be the essence of art. The art is usually has advantages and disadvantages both. Some people restrictions by their conditions, they can not distinguish the advantages and disadvantages. This requires critic evaluates works of art and guide people appraised the arts correctly, so that people can get the enjoyment of the art. Critic is a bridge between the art and appreciator, he can help people appreciate the art correctly. Literary master Lev Tolstoy also said: "Reading the Belinskiy praised Pushkin's work", "I truly understand Pushkin’s article."

Society of lasting value is created by the artist and the existence of lasting value is helped by the critic. Artist and critic are equally important on the society lasting value.

楼主文章中详细的论述了criticism 和critic的作用和重大价值以及对于art方面的促进和帮助， 但是看得出楼主主要偏重的是critic而不是artist 如果这样写的话，那么楼主的开头和结尾就要改一改，因为我从楼主的开头结尾看不出楼主这篇文章的中心，这明显说明楼主是两头抓的概念，但是楼主开头和结尾未能够很好的体现这种平衡化。开头部分应该写成平衡化或者让步化的开头方案，这样对于下文的发挥更有利。
