Nowadays education for children has been placed on a rather significant status, for the whole society has reached an agreement that children will determine the destiny of society in future. At a result, education for children has achieved a lot of great progress. Therefore, I disagree with the second half of the author's opinion, though I agree with the first half.

Admittedly, the destiny of society is determined by how children are socialized. Since children will continue the relay race of social development from contemporary adults to administer the whole society, they should be socialized from young periods in order to adapt to the society with fierce competitions quickly. To illustrate, students are required to take part in military training as soon as they join high schools. There are full of laws, rules and regulations in society, so before they actually step into the cruel reality, children should learn the importance of abiding those regulations through having rough experiences in anneals like military training. Otherwise, they will easily run into blank walls and then get beat and hurt.

In fact, our education for children has long been improved and will develop unceasingly. Nowadays, for children in China, learning English is just a case in point. Since language is a kind of tool for communication and Chinese children are less likely to speak English with fellows during childhoods, they are not necessary to learn English from elementary schools. However, considering the significant roles English played in professions, we still encourage children to learn ABC early to get well preparations for their future. Actually, before 1980s, not until colleges could students had chances to get in touch with basic English. Thereby, many adults who hadn't take college education didn't recognize English words and hence, had a lot of trouble in their work. Many high school courses such as Cooperation, Communication, Computer Introduction, which has never appeared before, are all set up to make children better socialized. Therefore, compared with the status of children education before, it has been improved greatly.

Furthermore, what parents and teachers should do are to supply nice conditions and general guidelines, rather than consider everything for children and make them specialized too early. Firstly, the whole society should aim at constructing nice environments for children. For instance, children growing up in the war, such as Irak children, Afghan children and so on, will form the characteristics of distrust, nonconfidence, sensitivity and even extremeness, all of which go against the standards of qualities required in modern society. In order to save the destiny of the whole world, we should help to establish peaceful, abundant and well-organized environments for those children to develop better. Secondly, parents and teachers don't need to consider everything for children. Trying to solve problems by themselves is a concernful and necessary ability for children to form so as to manage the world easily in future. When I was a pupil once with one of my classmate and I played soccer in aisle outside the classroom and unfortunately, broke one piece of  window glass into pieces. After school, the teacher told both of our parents that we should give public reminiscence in before the whole class the next day. However, only did I stand on the platform and apologize the next day. As I knew later, the parents of my classmate went to the teacher's home and tried best efforts to plead for their son. At last, the teacher gave in. As regard to my parents, they thought it would do good to me to acknowledge the corn, so instead of pleading for me, they even encouraged me to make full preparation of what I would say. Afterwards, my classmate made mistakes and got into troubles again and again, while I haven't encountered similar trouble as so far. It is the profound memory of the shame I felt when apologizing in the public that reminds me never to serve the devil. Actually, it is highly required in modern that one should be brave in bearing the responsibilities of his words and behaviour. Different attitude of the parents contribute to different levels of socialized ability.  

In sum, judging from the reasons mentioned above, we can safely concluded that the destiny of society is indeed determined by how children are socialized and the concept and method of how to raise children have long been improved and will develop unceasingly.
