152．The only responsibility of corporate executives, provided they stay within the law, is to make as much money as possible for their companies." [05/40; 06/7]—结论个人与整体社会类
对于公司的执行官，他们唯一的任务就是在法律允许的范围内，为公司赚取尽可能多的金钱。

1. 不可否认执行官的任务是尽可能提高公司利润。涉及到员工的利益，公司的发展，纳税对社会的贡献。

2.但是并不是说，只要在法律允许范围内，他们就能毫无顾忌的只追求利益。首先，现行的法律还不是十分健全，对于之前制定法律时未考虑到的情况，虽说在当时并不能说违法，但实际上已经有可能损害了他人的利益。比如网络购物。其次，公司有些计划并不违法，但是却太冷血。比如公司为了赚更多钱将工厂从一城市迁至另一城市。而很多员工都是当地居民且全家都是工厂工人，结果一下都失业，失去了家庭经济来源。

3.而且，赚钱也不是其唯一的目的。就像员工是公司的一分子，他们在获得自己劳动报酬的同时也在为公司做贡献，而公司也是社会的一分子，不光要追求自身的利益，还要承担起一定的社会责任。做些社会公益事业，积极纳税等。

We admit that the task of corporate executives is to promote the profit of the company as much as possible with the precondition of staying within the law. However, their duty is far more than this. As a member of society, they should also have a sense of responsibility to make contribution to the whole society.

Admittedly/It cannot be denied that the target of running a business is to gain more money and as the corporate executives of the company, they have the responsibility to help the company hit the mark. It is the fundamental condition that whether or not a company can survive in the crucial competition in a long time. It is hard to image without the strong financial support, how a company could have its standing room in modern society and how it ensures its employees’ benefits. After all, we are living in a realistic world and people will not have the motive to string along with a company if they even cannot solve the problem of food and clothing. Thus, earning more money for the company is the obligatory responsibility of the executives.

However, it is not to say that as long as it is not illegal, the executives can stick at nothing to pursue benefits for the company. On the one hand, as the modern technic and industry developing so rapidly, the law or legislation often lags behind. A bill or proposal of law will have to go a long distance before it can be approved by the congress and president, and finally enacted. If an executive sets his or her sole goal as to maximize profit for the owner of the company, and hence get higher pay from the board of the director as return, we can imagine that how dangerous it would be. Since he or she can take advantage of the legal loophole to gain profits, totally regardless of the harm that may inflict on the whole society or even to all the people living in this world.

On the other hand, it is possible that some plans of the company do not break the law, yet they do not concern about the employees’ benefits. For example, in order to make more money, PG Factory in my friend’s hometown plans to move to a more developed city. But the current situation is that most people in that small town are working in this company, especially, in some families, both father and son, or both husband and wife are its employees. If this factory relocates in another city, they will lose their jobs and have no resource of living suddenly.  

Moreover, making money is not the only purpose of a company. Just like the relationship between employees and a company. As a member of the company, the employees get paid and bonuses for their hard work and, at the same time, their excellent work make sure the company runs well and develop further. Companies are also part of the society. When they take advantage of the resources and spaces which society offers to them, they should not only fight for the benefits of their own but also for the whole people’s well-being. Donating money to support the “Hope Project”, then more children could receive normal education; Ratepaying actively so government will have more funds to build public accommodation, to support disaster areas and to make our country more prosperous. It is both the obligation and responsibility for companies to do so.

In conclusion, an evergreen company knows its duties which are not only making effort for the development of it but also concerning about the whole society and human being’s benefits. It is the first and most important lesson that a corporate executive should learn.

硬要说点可以改进的地方，就是可以再加点中国人知道，美国人也知道的粒子，短一点，但是有说服力。这样就更好了
