147"Tradition and modernization are incompatible. One must choose between them."

提纲：
1．  我认为传统与现代都对社会发展起到重要作用，应该把他们结合起来。
2．  传统有时候与现代是不能共存的，死刑要么按照传统保留，要么按照现代废除，必须选择其一。
3．  但是大多时候传统都是有助于现代化的形成的，现代化中总是有传统的影子，Jay Chou的音乐很现代化，但是基于传统的中国风。
4．  现代化对人们更好的认识传统也起到了很大作用，人们用现代技术认识了埃及金字塔的文化与建筑结构。
5．  人们没必要在传统与现代化中选择，只要认识传统，实现现代化，社会就会稳定。
6．  应该把传统与现代结合起来。

Do tradition and modernization have no similar aspect to compare and are they incompatible? Would we have to choose one between tradition and modernization? The speaker claims that they are incompatible and one must choose between them. However, in my opinion, tradition and modernization are all essential power to improve the society's development, and we as element of society should combine tradition and modernization better in order to make our society harmonious.

Admittedly I concede that sometimes tradition and modernization are so different even contrary that we seems to have to choose one between them. Tradition is always representative to the past, instead, modernization just show the current trend of people's life and mind. Consider death penalty, in the past days, it was regarded just, unquestionable as a common measure of punishment. While in modern life, this method of punishment has been abolished in several developed countries because its disrespect to human rights and contrary to human nature the current people considered. Obviously, we must make decision to embrace one between tradition and modernization because of their incompatibility.

However, tradition at the most time plays a vital role on forming the modernization, the shadow of tradition has always appeared in the modernization. As society evolution, people have no efficient way to create new things but studying the past. We are growing up during knowing history, forming the value of society and life, and then we can contribute the world according to our own values and minds shaped by history and tradition. An example comes to my mind, Jay Chow, a very famous singer and composer in China, his music contains various kinds of styles such as Classic, Jazz, R&B and country music, but the shadow of a traditional style called Chinese folk song is founded in all these music works and Jay also says that in his mind, all creations just should base on the tradition. Tradition and modernization are concomitant and they can coexist fine.

Moreover, modernization also helps up recognize tradition and history exactly and deeply. There are many past puzzles that we have no capacity to solve at that time such as Egypt Pyramid. This supernatural construction has slept very long time calmly, and until now, people eventually uncover her mystery through the modern technology. Modern archaeologists show a brilliant and great culture thousands of years before to all over the world of people, and modern architects receive an invaluable assistance from Egypt Pyramid to recognize the configuration of the past building and construction.

In addition, we have no necessary to choose one between tradition and modernization even they seems to be incompatible. Study and judge tradition whether it is adapted to current society, and do modern things which accepted by the current value of society, then society would become more and more steady.

To sum up, as essential power to improve the society's development, tradition and modernization are both important that we can not ignore either tradition or modernization, and we as element of society should combine tradition and modernization better in order to make our society harmonious.
