TOPIC: ARGUMENT188 - A new report suggests that men and women experience pain very differently from one another, and that doctors should consider these differences when prescribing pain medications. When researchers administered the same dosage of kappa opioids-a painkiller-to 28 men and 20 women who were having their wisdom teeth extracted, the women reported feeling much less pain than the men, and the easing of pain lasted considerably longer in women. This research suggests that kappa opioids should be prescribed for women whenever pain medication is required, whereas men should be given other kinds of pain medication. In addition, researchers should reevaluate the effects of all medications on men versus women.
WORDS: 435

By citing a comparison between the women who were having their wisdom teeth extracted and adminisered the same dosage of kappa opioids ,and the men, the author claims that men should be given other kinds of pain medication and women should take the kappa opioid. Moreover, researchers should reevaluate the effects of all medications on men versus women. However, careful scrutiny of the argument reveals a series of dubious assumptions, which render it quite unconvincing.
Admittedly, the study of the patients of both women and men treated with the same dosage of a painkiller seems logical, we failed to have enough evidence to prove that this dosage of kappa opioids really works better on the women than men. Maybe if the women feels the same level of pain more painful so that the medicine did no more effects on women just because the women feels much more about pain. In addition, it is highly possible that those patients may have different wounds in their teeth extracted, and this may cause different feelings out of the effect of the dosage. Maybe the wound of the women happened to be all smaller than the men's, it would lead to the conclusion that the medicine has more effects on women. Also some other factor may influence the study, such as the endurance of the patients and the health condition of them etc. Therefore, this research can not simply leads to the result that kappa opioid did more effects on the women than men.
Even if kappa opioids really work better on women than men, we can not simply give the conclusion that it should be prescribed for women whenever pain medication is required and men should be given other kinds of pain medication. It is possible that, there are some other medicine have the better effects on women. Meanwhile, there may be some other medicine have the worse effects on men. So, we can not make the dicision without concerning these factors.
Last but not least, researchers should not reevaluate the effects of all medications on men versus women, as we have no evidence to show that those medications have the diversity effects on women and men. It is highly possible that some medicine have the some effect on both men and women and some should be seperated to reseach from children to adults.
In sum, the argument neither present much evidence about the effective of kappa opioid nor take the other medicine's effective in consideration. To better evaluate the arguer's conclusion, we need more information regarding the study group and should given the dicision after careful examination.

Maybe if (不要ifthe women feels(单数) the same level of pain more painful so that the medicine did no more effects on women just because the women feels much more about pain.

(改成这样好吗?:maybe women are less sensitive than men to the same level of pains so that the medicine did no more effects on women In addition, it is highly possible that those patients may have different wounds in their teeth extracted, and this may cause different feelings out of the effect of the dosage.
