When we talk about the relationship between individual interest and the purpose of education, my opinion would be direct. The purpose of education is to cultivate a healthy, positive skilled person who will contribute to the society. Sufficing the individual needs and interest is only one of the useful methods in the education process.

To begin with, I concede that no one can deny the positive effect brought by interests in student's study. It is the interest that motives the students to continue studying what they really like no matter how different they are. Newton was interested in the apple fall down from the tree, then his concentrated his mind in this phenomenon. That the source of the discovery of universal gravitation. Bill was abstracted by the computer, and then Microsoft has been the great brand in the world. Following their interest can make a person skilled, powerful and contribute to society, which are also the purpose of education. From this cause, education should be designed to meet the individual needs and interests of each student.

However, not all of the students' interests must the schools complete. Since another purpose of education is to bring both mental and physical healthy students. Due to their ages and experience, the students cannot distinct whether this interest or need is right or wrong. Excess suffice of their desire will lead opposite effective. For example, the most of younger boys like playing computer games. To some degree, it is benefit to develop their brain and enjoy relaxed childhood. Imagine 10 hours was spent on playing without any discipline, many bad impacts such as body hurt, didn't study, learn bad things from other players and so on. That would be so sorry to say Education should limit their excess interests.

Furthermore, due to the large amount of students and insufficient economical supports, the lack of instruments and teachers is still an impossible reason to meet every student positive needs and interests. However many school mates from high schools which cannot support their interesting can still specialize in singing, drawing. When I wondered, they just told me, their teachers encourage them to follow their interests by themselves. So we can also draw the conclusion, if the education can cultivate positive, persistent and independent students, the students' interests would be met by themselves.

In conclusion, interests are important for the development and achievement of students. The schools must pay more attention on meeting their needs and interests. However, it doesn't means that the schools must complete what their student want without value the harmful results.
