The speaker asserts that in any profession, people who are leaders should step down after five years. Presently, to success surely and compete effectively the enterprise must replenish itself with fresh blood through periodic changing of leadership. While this assertion has merits, I don't think it comprehensively considers the function of leaders. Consider two particular types of conductors: the leadership in some scientific research items and the one in art, literature, and archeology and so on(两个TYPE的区分好象没那么明确). These fields require the leaders who have abundant experience. As time files away, their capability will not decrease, but more authoritative(权威的能力?)and more outstanding.
I concede that the speaker is on the correct philosophical side of this issue. After all, there is no flawless individual in this world. No one can always make the right decision in particular of leaders, because they will face the(?) more temptation than common employees, they may seduced to abuse their authority by fame or wealth. For example, The Watergate Affair has shocked the world, the Nixon government eavesdropped secrets for the purpose of interrupting the presidential election. To our surprise, even his status was such high(high his status was), he was also seduced by fame and power, and then, as I see it, the good way to solve this type of problems is to let those in power step down after five years.(单纯从文中给出的咨询,如果不清楚水门的话就知道怎么得出后面这个方法的了,不过美国改卷的应该知道这个故事)
Besides, the value of periodic changing of leadership is not limited to the prevention of corruption(这里我也不知道对不?感觉后面要用名词形式). When it comes to development of enterprise, this method will let the enterprise always be full of energy by maintaining proper competitive mechanisms and replenishing fresh blood and new ideas. After all, there is no doubt that different life and different(去掉) experience determined that individual's thinking is different(the differences of individual’s thinking) and this fact also(有点冗余, 可以去掉) limits the enlargement of everyone's imagination. Thus, through periodic changing of leadership, the new leadership will bring enterprise fresh vitality, new policy and maybe they will solve some problems which are left by previous their predecessors. So, even many leadership of nation also take the periodic changing due to the hope that the new will lead the countries to progress a better situation.
However, the leadership in some professions should not be limited by this periodic change yet such as fields of art, literature and archeology. For example, the famous artist Xu Beihong has been occupied in the president of Chinese art association. He has created many excellent traditional Chinese paintings in his whole life. For him, the characters of his paintings were different when his view or motion or his age group changed and all of his paintings have big artistic value. Moreover, it is hard for this kind of leadership have got the chance of corruption in generally(in general?). So, to those majoring such as art, literature, the more experienced they are, the more authoritative(用权威来说明艺术作品和小说?) their productions will be. Thus, it is not wise of us to take the periodic change to limit their capability.(领导个人的成长和这个组织的发展成功的关系?是不是可以说下在这些组织中,领导的权威性和组织的成功是有很大关系的或者类似)
In sum, I agree with the speaker's broad assertion that we should take the periodic changing of leadership in many professions so as solve many problems such as authority abuse, corruption, lack of originality, and so forth. At the same time, the other professions should not be involved whose(这个放在前面会好点?)essence is that the more experience, the more ability. So, whether we should take periodic changing is depending on situation(什么样的情况?).
