Therefore, the state should not establish the vocational training programs but should instead focus on improving academic programs in our high schools."

The arguer concludes that state should not establish vocational training programs but improving academic programs in high schools. However there are several logical problems and fallacies about the statement.

First, the conclusion of the arguer is based on the reason that availability in free vocational training programs encourages some students to drop out from school instead of completing their high school studying. But I cannot find any evidences to support this assumption. Maybe the high school students would like to choose high school with high qualified teachers, and equipments rather than any vocational training. Or maybe the students find the subjects in high school is unless about their vocational goals. Therefore, before the provision of the survey about the respond from students towards this program, it is unwarranted to get the conclusion.

Second, the arguer fails to provide the information about the reasons of the dropouts. If the very reason of dropouts is that they want to get a job instead of entering into the college, then the vocational training for them is favorite choice. So, without the reason of the high school dropout, it is too early to conclude to abandon the vocational training programs.

Third, the arguer intends to neglect the advantages of the training program. Maybe the free program could help many of dropouts who leave school for the lower income of their families. And the vocational training could help them to find a better job. Moreover, the program could provide choices for the dropout to lead a healthy lives rather than idling their time. Without enough survey from people towards the vocational training program and comparison between the benefits and disadvantages of program, it is misleading to suggest not establishing it.

In sum, it is not enough from an reason that the program encourage dropout to get the conclusion to stop the program. Meanwhile, this reason is unwarranted and the arguer provider on evidence of this statement. And to strengthen his conclusion, he needs to compare the advantages and disadvantages of the program. So, there are reasons to believe that the argument is premature and unconvincing.
