In some high schools and universities. the students have group works, giving the members of a group the same grade(credit), do you think it can evaluate the students?(2008.1.13)
先自己表扬一下,虽然字不多但总算没超时,嘿嘿!写的不好一定多批评啊!
Under the severe competition and rapid development, people need to master the skill about communication, so it is reasonable the students in high schools and colleges have practice to work in groups. However, it is not appropriate if all the members in one group have the same credits because different students, with distinct abilities and attitudes, may play different roles in working.

In the first place, working in one group can develop students' communicating skills and learn how to cooperate with others, but the same credits will make students confused in knowing themselves. High schools and colleges should provide such chances for those young people to work together because they can study benefits from others through cooperation. The individual ability is limited, and also one cannot know everything. But if every member has the same grade, then no one will know him/her shortcoming as their real abilities are hidden by the similar credits. On the other hand, a excellent student who played a leader role in completion may feel frustration that his/her ability cannot be appraised. Meanwhile, it is hard for those students to be encouraged under the same grades as they might think have nothing to improve.

Furthermore, different credits will bring progresses for students and the similar ones cannot. When students have not high grades, they may study hard and ask suggestions from their cooperators. At the same time, they will consider who should be the model to follow, and the students should have a competitor to struggle with. But under the same credits, people will be kind of lazy as they might think they are the best, which can bring a laggard attitude. Especially there is a theory that competition will lead to development.

In conclusion, the members of one group should have different credits rather than the same because their abilities will be covered that is hard to know themselves. Another reason is students should learn from each others under the distinct grades.
