Agree or disagree, Newspapers can truly help people understand world events. Televison news doesn’t provide enough information.
Thanks to television,I could get to know the latest news about government's plan to release 4000 billion RMB to rescue our country from the financial crisis at the first time.Also,I found the detailed reports about the plan on newspaper the other day.Both of the two forms of media supply us a wealth of information about the current events.However,in terms of the dynamic alternation,timeliness and conviction,I prefer to gain news from television.

The first reason why I would like to watch TV rather than newspaper lies in its interaction advantage.With the socio-economic development,people pay more attention on the diversity of cultural life,coupled with its consideration about residents' immediate profits.Thus the interaction seems an overiding factor account for the media's competetive capacity.It is undeniable that news from TV from which people get the information both visualy and audibly definitely provide a more vivid way guiding people to realize the reality,helping them make decisions more profoundly.

In addition,compared with television,information from newspaper is less instantaneous.Our society is modernlizing at an ever-accelerating pace,up-to-the-minute information grasps an increasing number of people's preferance.Newspaper information,at this point,is incomparable to television's scrolling news on screen.Back to the example I mentioned at beginning,if I did not watch the news on TV before I browse the news from newspaper,I might not have paid much attention on the plan,for I always paid little interest on governmental operations.It was the news on TV broadcasted by host in an enphatic tone that inspired me to realize the significance of the plan and to collect more information through other ways.

Further more,television own the advantage of more persuasive videos and convicing demonstrations. During the 5.12 earthquake in China,I was waiting in front of the TV set all day long for the latest news and reports directly sent from the scene of the catastrophe.By reading the news from newspaper,only added by some pictures,I could never have known about the reality of the disaster,as to many others,they could never have moved by the children who persist to study when trapped in the debris.

To sum up,I never maintain suspecious about the importance of newspaper.But in a more general sense,television outweighs the newspaper due to its inimitable advantages of interaction,timeliness and conviction.
