All nations should help support the development of a global university designed to engage students in the process of solving the world’s most persistent social problems.
提纲：
1.        社会问题，无论是尖锐的还是普遍的，解决都不可能由刚毕业的学生去解决。学校毕竟和社会不同，社会要复杂的多，学生学习的主要是理论，对社会的了解和认识需要丰富的社会阅历。学生在大学中应先学习，但应受多种文化的熏陶。建立这样大学不现实，建立大学的目的包括传授知识和研究。
2.        即使这样一所大学已经建立，不可能所有国家都去支持。各国经济实力不同，有些国家社会内部问题还无法解决，所以应量力而帮。
3.        不仅仅是persisten的社会问题才值得研究。新的问题同样重要
As the human evolves and civility develops , society become increasingly complicated and social problems rise. The notion that all nations should help back up the development of a global university designed to engage students in the process of solving the world’s most persistent social problems may oversimplify the reality concerning who and how to solve the world’s most persistent social problems.

In the first place, social problems, such as spread of AIDS, threatening of nuclear weapon, and abuse of drugs, should be taken up mainly by governments or social organizations rather than students just graduating. Modern social problems, after all, have become more sharp and complicated than people can imagine, let alone students not much involved in the society. Most universities nowadays aim at instruct students in the fields of theory learning and scientific research. Universities provide little, if there is any, opportunities of social experiences which can only be obtained from the real world. Such a global university in the present setup of the world would appear in a day dream.

Even if such a university has been founded, it is impossible for all nations to support its development. Different countries have diverse advancing paces, with various economic strength and respective national situations. How can we require Palestine, people there suffering from turbulence due to wars every day , to sponsor the university instead of dealing with its own business? In addition, every country, even the strongest United States, has its own social problems. Giving more support to the present problems remaining unsolved is convincingly better than provide assistance to the university and wait for the students to tackle even more problems in the future.

Moreover, what the world’s most persistent social problems are needs to be discussed. As the saying goes, ”to err is human.” In a human society, brand new issues and problems will inevitably turn up every second. Do the world’s most persistent social problems weigh more than the new yet crucial problems? A global university should cultivate a new generation who can be involved in various social problems rather than merely focusing on the most persistent ones.
Sometimes, people do have some ideal opinions about social development. However, we live in a world in which we have too many factors to take into account, otherwise we will work in vein. It is more indispensable to support what is most urgent with what we have.
