Whether the greatness of individuals can be decided by their contemporaries or by their offspring does not have a inform answer since people in different areas have various characters. As far as I am concerned, not only they can be judged by the people after them, but also who lived in the same period with them.

When we are trying to make comments on the politics in our history, we often consider their contribution to their countries and to the world. It seems like the offspring, that is us, can decided the answers more correctly for the long time that can be used to test those contributions of them. However, people who lived in the same era with these politics are also able to criticize them objectively. The formal president of the United Stated, Franklyn Roosevelt, is very popular during his time for his great efforts in saving the America's economics and his great performance in the World War Two. Hitler, the head of Nazi at the same time to Roosevelt, the beginner of the World War Two, who is evil, cruel and barbarous to the Jews as well as other ethnics and other countries, is disdained by the world by his contemporaries. In these cases, Contemporaries are qualified to evaluate the leaders who do not require a long period to demonstrate their behaviors. We can also find examples in the entertainment fields. Usually, we comment on the famous actors or actress by their movies or TV series which might have a very high audience rating. Since the standard used in judging a actor or actress is their performance is suitable in their plays, which is not a difficult standard that might need a long time to prove, it is proper to let the people who watch the movies or TV series at the actors’, or actress’ era to decide a right evaluation.

Although in some areas, contemporaries are able to make right judgments, it is more often to judge an individual after a certain period of testing. Especially in Scientific fields, there are lots of theories, formula and suspects needed to be proved or overturned after many years, even after several generations. Take economics for example, the Famous Nobel Prize is sent to the great economists who make great contribution in the economic areas. We can simply find that most prize winner established their theories or sayings thirty years, or more, before they got the prize which is because the both the academic and the practical world need time to see whether these economists are right or not. Another good case should be the physics, it is well-known that Corpunic's sun-centered theory is denied by the churched when they are fined by Corpunic who was sentenced to death at the end, and only after hundreds of years, his findings is proved by other scientists and he is recognized as a great scientist which was impossible at his time. The offspring are always able to develop new tools, methods, and meet new situation which can be used to find the truth. The great person are always see further than their contemporaries that add more difficulties to understand the greatness of them.

Whether the judgments of certain person are right or not should be depended on how much information the judgers gain. According to this standard, both the contemporaries and the offspring can make a correct decision. Since the offspring are more likely to gain better understand and methods to make judgments, they are often more qualified to evaluate the people who lived before them. If contemporaries are also gain enough evident, especially in the political and entertainment areas, they can make proper decision as well.

如果说两者都可以决定，那么下面是有的领域是同时代决定，有的是后人决定，但是你好像又不是这样写的，所以有点看不懂！结尾说，谁的资料多谁就有可以决定，所以两者都可以决定。但是后人有好像更能决定？---我有点走火入魔了，不绕了！jessie你再看看，或者你将中文提纲列出来，稍微详细点，我就是没有弄清楚，所以好像有点不懂！

1．        逻辑上，均衡观点（我觉得这个比较难写得），主体两段各述其正确性。但我觉得第一段可以点下两者均可的根本原因----领域不同导致能得到的信息不同。这样思路更清晰
2．        论证上，有些表达不够有说服力，但还是比较准确的
3．        对于例子，除了一个我有点不同观点，剩下两个都很好的论证了主题
这是我的一点意见，有什么看法咱们再交流
