Nowadays as the societies change rapidly, everyone has to keep his knowledges updated at any moment in order to keep up with the pace of modern times.Then the author asserts in order to improve the quality of modern education all faculty should be required to spend time working outside the academic world in professions relevant to the courses they teach. I agree with the author in some degree, however, I also think too much working will make bad effect in one’s studying and working.

We all know that only applied in practice successfully can we assert one has owned adequate knoledge, especially in today’s rapid style everything’s rapid of updating are much beyond than our imagination. For instance, the IT industry make a reformation nearly everyday, so only accumulating the past knowdge means nothing when one come to work oneday. Spending time working outside the academic world in professions relevant to the course when we are still in college is so necessary that it not only gain experiences of practice but also chastening our spirits and testing the teachers real mastered knowledge learned and teaching in university as well, what’s more ,it also helps them to find the shortness of themselves that they could correct them in case these wrong or outdated things were absorbed by students.

In addition, keeping contacting with the outside world is also benefite for the teachers and tuitors themselves when they come back to their own researches. Since today’s researches in university have been touched with the society closely,such as whether the factories will manufacture their products in a large number or when could their conclusion be used in practice, which the teachers couldn’t get only by indirect information but they have to make it clear by their owns. Therefore,we can also conclude that it is necessary for faculty to work outside for a while to get practice and useful information.

However,everything has it own limit which once be beyond everything will get the reverse result. If one teacher seems have more interesting in working outside the college than in it,he finally will turn to a worker instead of a respectable scholar, for he finally lost his students and researching works and the pure knowledge he had learned. In another side,even if he does come back to school after woking outside, his spirit and health wil probably be effected if he has down too much work outside.

In sum, I the work outside the academic world is highly good, it can bring students practical minds and updated knowledge, and the teachers themselves also gain more chances to their own study.However, the only thing we must pay attention is to not go too far away from theory, acdemic knowlegde generates practical usage, and practice value helps to improve the acdemic world, we should always make the scale balanced.

However, everything has its own limit (which once be beyond everything) once beyond which we will get the reverse result. If one teacher seems to have more interest (interest 是名词，interesting是形容词 in working outside the college (than in it) 不需要, he will finally turn to be a worker instead of a respectable scholar, for he finally loses his students and researching works and the pure knowledge he had learned (不做学者纯理论的东西就会丢失？有点牵强). In another side, even if he does come back to school after working outside, his spirit and health will probably be affected if he has done too much work outside.

In sum, the work outside the academic world is highly good, it can bring students practical minds and updated knowledge, and the teachers themselves also gain more chances to their own study. However, the only thing we must pay attention is to not go too far away from theory, academic knowledge generates practical usage, and practice value helps to improve the academic world, we should always make the scale balanced.
