In any field of scientific inquiry, most judgments are made by the experts in such field[一开始已经说in any field,这里是不是不用说了], and to some extent, the freshmen seemingly have nothing to do but to support or obey the conclusion of the authentic[应该是形容词]. So there raise a question whether the comments from laymen of novices in a certain field have little value to promote the development of the inquiry. Concerning this issue, I am prone to claim that it is long accepted the significance of the experts' judgments, however, those suggestions or critics by tyro, at least, can offer some assistance of inspiration to the experts' work.[一下子学到很多词汇,laymen, novice, tyro, rookies, freshman,不过有几个好像是informal用语,老美文章里大概也有人用的]
To begin with, as common sense, the experts are the ones who have better understanding and mastery of knowledge and skills in their fields, thus, their judgments weigh more than the critics by rookies. As the people who just enter one field, they have not yet had clear knowledge of the basic information or techniques required to make objective and systematic judgment. Under this circumstance, their judgments would quite possibly mislead or puzzle the experts to improve the progress of the fields. And what is important, the public and the society would not trust the judgments of the rookies, no matter they are reasonable or not. Consider, for example, the government would not care much about the critics to the financial policies from a freshman in university who majors in finance without the authentically judgment by the experts. While in contrast, the advices or comments by famous economists would draw close attention by the governors. In consequence, the judgments from the authorities will influence the society more than those made by the beginners.[这个段落的上半部分是common sense,不过如果给出专家的定义后,就引入经济学家和大学生的例子说明是不是更具体一些?
Yet, that is not to say that the suggestions from the beginners have no value in assisting the development of the society. The persons who enter one fields still have their advantages that they can not be confined by the long established regulations and can think freely to create orginal ideas. These ideas, even though not mature, can reveal certain parts of facts that have long been neglected by the authorities or inspire the experts to solve the same problem with uniquely creative method. Naturally, these assistances would ameliorate the development of science, society and the world. That is why many governments always turn to their citizens for original ideas to fulfill some task An illustrating example involves that the organizing committee of the 29th Olympic Games in China has choose not only the mascots but also the designs of constructing the Olympic venues from the ordinary public. The designers for these symbols of the Olympic Games are not experts in designing or art, however their work will be showed <before?>the whole world on behalf of China.
Based on the passage, I should claim that when making judgment, one should inevitably refer to the comments from the authorities at first, but not omit the importance of suggestions from the novices or even the laymen. This strategy is able to not only conform to the most scientific and systematic analysis but also not have the minds trapped by the already existed regulations or rules.
In brief, on the one hand the judgments from experts are the most authentic and safe ones to follow, on the other hand, the suggestions by beginners or layman still have their value of offering inspirations. Neither of the both can be omitted when analysizing something.
