The greatness of individuals can be decided only by those who live after them, not by their contemporaries.

I strongly agree with the statement that greatness of individuals often be accepted and acknowledged by their decedents not by their coevals. We could easily find out the substantiate reasons to support this claim, such as talent of great people, lacking help means to testify the great believe and so forth, which would be classified as following.

First of all, great people are always talents and have the preeminent ability than the others living in the same time who therefore could not catch the idea of talents at the moment. Because of their uncommon ability of forecasting, recognizing and reasoning, talents always make out thorough new production or discovery with their unique power. That is where they differ from others and why could not be decided by others living at the same era. Consider, for example, Galilei's sun-core theory firstly was not acknowledged and even considered as heresy by Italian government, centuries after, could this truth be accepted by his country and the whole world. Why his theory could not be admit by the contemporary people? Without the afraid of church who thought this is a challenge to its authority, another rational main reason is the Italian people who do not gain so much physical and astronomical knowledge as Galilei could not understand what meaning of the new saying. Only when more and more people became gain the relevant information with these subjects did his finding be accepted.

Moreover, the productions and innovations from great people might be validated through a long time with some necessary tools' invented. We turn to the fact of Galilei, only with a series innovations of astronomical tools which help people to detect the universe more directly than before, do people living after the great astronomer agree with the predecessor. In addition, the element circle graph produced by an Russian chemistry was not fully accepted when it came out because of some elements which were not factually exist at that time, with several experiments, all these non-existing elements are testified as true.

In addition, every new thing, commonly, whether it is true and useful or not, could not be admit immediately with common people who feel the overwhelming impact to them. As people customered to their familiar environment, they often experience some shocking and strange to the new things, such as theories, innovations, ideals and etc. Consider, for example, the brothers White, who invented the first plane were considered as crazy by their neighbors, it is entirely possible that the neighbors felt the disturbing for the clam life and therefore made some in-heart protection to against the new thing.

Fortunately, even with so much resistance, our democratic society gives the great people right to exhibit their free and preeminent notion which probably become the mass favors in a not near future.
