The study of history has value only to the extent that it is relevant to our daily lives.
When it comes to the issue that whether it is valuable to study history which is not relevant to our daily lives, different people may have different opinions based on what they have learned. As far as I am concerned, due to my own observation of life, I fundamentally agree with the notion that both histories whether relevant to our daily lives or not are valuable. In the following discussion, I would like to present my point of view.

First of all, studying history which is relevant to our daily lives is crucial to our society. In the realm of scientific research, the achievements of their elder are the fundament of the contemporary research. Just as Newton once said, the reason I could make this great achievement is because I am standing on the shoulder of the giants. The words of Newton aptly illustrate this point. Nearly every fruit of today's scientific research is based on what the remaining knowledge of the ancestors. Thus, without studying the history of science, we cannot make a single step.

Furthermore, history relevant to our daily life also involves those events which could guide our behavior. A famous emperor of ancient China once said, history is a mirror of today. It means that through the research of the events in the history we could know that what problem happened in the past, what people that time deal with under such circumstance, what the result was. Such research could help us out of the similar problem. Besides, studying history could also make us avoid making similar mistakes the elders made.

All in all, the function of history relevant to the contemporary life reflects in two aspects. First, studying history could help our society make greater progress. Second, history is like a mirror which could prevent us from making mistakes.

However, is it useless to study history which is not relevant to our daily lives? I guess the answer is no. Consider archaeology which seems irrelevant as an example. If it's really valueless, why do so many scientists devote their lives to it? I think, history, a part of a nation's traditional cultural, plays an important role to a nation. Not only could it help us know where we came from and what our ancestor did in the past, but also it could help define our individual identity and increase our sense of pride, dignity, and self-worth as a cell of a nation. In this sense, to researching history no matter how much irrelevant it is, is valuable indeed.

Actually, history which is indeed irrelevant to our daily lives is not existent. From the angle of the general-relative view of materialism, every two events are relevant to each other. The different is only how much irrelevant they are. I think, just as what I have mentioned above, history is important to our society no matter from what kind of angles.

In conclusion, due to the above mentioned reasons, which sometimes intertwine to form an organic whole and thus become more persuasive than any one of them, we may safely arrive at the conclusion that studying history is valuable to our society whether it is relevant or irrelevant to our contemporary life.

Mencius said,"When heaven is about to confer a great office on any man,it first exercises his mind with suffering, and his sinews and bones with toil.It exposes his body to hunger………….By all these methods, it stimulates his mind, consolidates his character, and increases his efficiency".

In the realm of scientific research, the achievements of their elders are the fundament of the contemporary research. Just as Newton once said, the reason I could make this great achievement is because I am standing on the shoulder of the giants你这里用第一人称,要加quotation mark. The words of Newton aptly illustrate this point感觉这句话与上文语气不连贯。 The words of Newton can be replaced by "his words", 至于this point我觉得也可以与下文衔接,不知你认为怎样.

It means that through the research of the events in thecut history we could know that what problem happened in the past, whathow people that time deal with under such circumstance, andwhat the result was.

最好不要用这样的语气。 这个例子似乎有些欠妥which seems irrelevant as an example. If it's really valueless, why do so many scientists devote their lives to it? , history, a part of a nation's traditional cultural, plays an important role to a nation. Not only could it help us know where we came from and what our ancestor did in the past, but also it could help define our individual identity and increase our sense of pride, dignity, and self-worth as a cell of a nation. In this sense, to researching history no matter how much irrelevant it is这个句子好像不太通,按照我的理解似乎应该是 In this sense, the history research, no matter how irrelevant it is to daily life, is valuable indeed.

Actually, history which is indeed irrelevant to our daily lives is not existent. From the angle of the general-relative view of materialism, every two events are relevant to each other. The different is only how much irrelevant they are. I think, just as what I have mentioned above, history is important to our society no matter from what kind of angles.

In conclusion, due to the above mentioned reasons, which sometimes intertwine to form an organic whole and thus become more persuasive than any one of them, we may safely arrive at the conclusion that studying history is valuable to our society whether it is relevant or irrelevant to our contemporary life结尾的句式不错,向你学习

When it comes to the issue that whether it is valuable to study history which is not relevant to our daily lives, different people may have different opinions based on what they have learned. (propose the issue) As far as I am concerned, due to my own observation of life, I fundamentally agree with the notion that both (?) histories whether relevant to our daily lives or not are valuable. (state own opinion)  In the following discussion, I would like to present my point of view (transitional sentence). (A clear first paragraph)

First of all, studying history which is relevant to our daily lives is crucial to our society. In the realm of scientific research, the achievements of their elder are the fundament (base) of the contemporary research. Just as Newton once said, the reason I could make this great achievement is because (that) I am standing on the shoulder of the giants.

It means that through the research of the events in the history we could know that what problem happened in the past, what people  (at) that time deal with under such circumstance (a confusing sentence), what the result was.

(Unnecessary summary. It can be done in last paragraph)

However, is it useless to study history which is not relevant to our daily lives? I guess the answer is no (negative?). Consider archaeology which seems irrelevant as an example. If it's really valueless, why do so many scientists devote their lives to it? I think, history, (as) a part of a nation's traditional cultural, plays an important role to a nation.

From the angle (perspective)  of the general-relative view of materialism, every two events are relevant to each other. The different is only how much irrelevant they are. I think, just as what I have mentioned above, history is important to our society no matter from what kind of angles.

In conclusion, due to the above mentioned reasons (reasons mentioned above), which sometimes intertwine to form an organic whole and thus become more persuasive than any one of them, we may safely arrive at the conclusion that studying history is valuable to our society whether it is relevant or irrelevant to our contemporary life.
