How to achieve education’s most effective function? The author contends that it should be designed to meet the individual needs and interests of each student. Obviously, the education is impossible and unnecessary to design to satisfy every student’s needs and interests. In my point of view, the most effect of education is to teach student the universe knowledge and human being’s common morality. While the education is designed for a universal need of students, it will show its effectiveness.

In the first place, education has its system content itself that can’t be changed by individual student. As we all know, education is national matter that has crucial meaning for the future of our country. So its content must be determined by the government and will be useful for nation’s benefit. For this purpose, there are some essential requirements that the education should abide. Such as the history and geography of the country, the spirit education and scientific knowledge. All the students in school should receive the above contents. Because the students are the future hosts of our country, they should be educated to server for the society. In fact, this is the most effective thing indeed. In addition, as a national standard, the education content surely be designed to be a rational and scientific. Maybe it is not suitable for few geniuses, but it should be executed all over the country.

In the second place, education’s effect is performed by the total quality of the national students instead by singles. The only standard of weighting the education is to evaluate the quality of the whole students. In other words, the most effective education is to improve the citizen’s knowledge. For an instance, if the education is designed to meet individual’s interests and trains a few geniuses, but other students lack of basic the knowledge. Then this kind of education is a failure without question. At the other hand, the students’ need is variable and it’s impossible to meet everyone for education. Maybe some of the needs will bring adverse effect for their development because the student may not distinguish what’s really right for them. In common sense, most students like to play electronic games, should the school let the students to play games day and night. Of course the answer should be not.

However, to some degree, the education should provide an environment for the few genius students to develop their individual interest in a right manner. For some clever students’ talent, the school should permit them to learn more and provide some help. For example, there are some interest groups in many schools, the group is constitute of the students with similarity interests, such as math model, physics, poem. But it is not means the education should design to meet the needs and interests of each student.

In summary, the education’s function determines that it can’t be designed for individual’s needs and interests. It is impossible to achieve this in operation, too. To achieve its best effect, the education should provide the universe knowledge to all the students and extract content to the few geniuses.
