What makes a man?
What makes a child an adult? Different people might have difficult opinions: some one said the commencement makes a student a mature as that is the beginning of one's social life. While the law in China announces that the 18th birthday is the signature of a real adult. Some one said the critical thinking and independent character make an individual as mature. As for me, I believe it is the insight that marks a person as an adult.

With the insight ability, people recognize themselves better. According to the modern theory, people recognize his responsibility after recognizing his ability as an individual. Kids do not have to fully response for their behavior, but adults have. With the insight, person are recognized that they are different from each individual, and it is the difference that make one a solid soul. Kids are used to following the supervisor for adults, but with the insight, people learn to see through their own eyes and judge by their own minds. That is the basics of independent thinking. In the progress of solving problems independently, people learn to take response for their behavior. And those progresses above make a mature individual.
   

With the insight ability, people understand the environment in a further standard. As the old saying "stand in someone's shoes", people can understand other's pain and sorrow only by thinking in other person's eye. Insight, not only gives one the ability to see himself, also help one to understand others' feeling. A girl might not fully understand the strict education from her mother. After the painful laboring, she might have a further understanding of the difficulty in raising a child. Insight gives one a chance to think and understand themselves. Furthermore, it gives one a path to understand others----what I might felt if that happened on me? Kids can't understand why a woman was tearing in the funeral, but with insight, adult can understand the sorrow of a mother who lost his first-born. Kids might break the toy under his natural anger-reaction, or they show their emotion without consideration the impression from other person. But after recognize himself as a sole individual, adults were educated and, as the mature, learn to empathize.  In modern psychological theory, professors said that some negative emotion, such as selfishness, is the refection of fear and dis-confidence. And the way to With a advanced insight. disable  considering others' as considering mine. With the insight ability, people learn to cooperation and love.

In some way, we have to say there are many person die as "kid" at their 80's age. Those ones who just grasp for more and never want to give might live in his/ her childhood through ones' life. It is not some events that carry a child to an adult; instead, it is the meaningful symbol inside that helps one to realize his ability and responsibility. Among those important characters as independent, critical thinking, or the ability of problem solving, all of them are based on the self-insight and are resulted from it. Only with continuous insight, one can keep learning and keep growing. The insight, as courage to recognize the outside world, makes a person a real man. And the insight, as the courage to face the unknown inside, keeps man young forever.
