This issue represents a point of view that how children are socialized today determines the destiny of society, and the arguer believes that we are not yet learned how to educate children who can help bring about a better society. With my reflection, I tend to agree part of that view. It is obviously that today's children will one day be in charge of our society, however, I cannot share the same idea that we cannot educate these children well enough to make them manage the world better.

First of all, the destiny of society is controlled by adults between age of 25-55 or so, and what character and personality the next generation have can determine what they will behave in general, thus they will determine the destiny of future society. What determines their character and personality? Of course it is education; how they are educated or socialized can determine what character and personality they will achieve. In the last one hundred years, our world developed greatly, especially in the latest thirty years, we have experienced a high technology revolution. One of the reasons is that during the great advance in education contributed to the big change. Take another example; we know that all nations in the world see education an important part to the nations' development, because only they can provide an excellent education that they will have an excellent generation, thus they will get a better future for the nation. So how children are socialized today determines the destiny of future society.

Secondly, I think it is inappropriate to conclude that we have not yet learned how to raise children while I believe that the way to raise children is one kind of knowledge we learned through in practice and research on it; it is one subject called education. We try our best to present the best education, and we cannot define the current education is useless thus we do not know to raise children. In fact, we will never learn how to raise children who can help bring about a better society, because it is almost impossible to fulfill the requirements in our mind which is changing with the advance of human world. Maybe, after some years, we know how to educate children in nowadays consideration, but we will have new idea that time which will caused we are still cannot raise children well enough.

In sum, this issue indeed shows a correct view that the way children are socialized today determines the destiny of society, but the other view that we have not yet learned how to raised children is inappropriate. I tend to believe as I've showed above that we will never achieve the requirement of the education. What's more, this defect leads the education to develop. If we have learned how to raise children who can help bring about a better society, we will not know how to make the better society better. If we do not know how to make our society better, the world will not develop any more and the outcome is hard to imagine.
